3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cbkschubert (2872) - BFE, Arizona, USA - NOV 4, 2009
22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a hazy amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light, tiny spotted lacing. Aroma is pine and herbal hops. Flavor is quite bitter and somewhat astringent. Lots of pine hops in this one. Doesn’t linger too long in the finish. Medium body. If I were to lay back an IPA for a few months, this would be the one. At the moment there is very little malt presence. Still, a decent IPA.

Brilliant amber color/ lasting beige head. Nice pine, floral hop, caramel aromas. medium body. Hoppy bitter pine, grapefruit flavors on a lightly sweet caramel malty base.

22 oz bomber via Hagen. Pours a semi hazy amber with an average sized head. Nose is piny hops. Taste is pine, and spicy hops on top of a malt backbone. Almost pepperish but not quite. Body is medium, carbonation s high.

Bomber. Poured red orante with medium fast dissipating white head. Hoppy citrusy aroma. Flavour is rather sweet for an IPA at first, then the bitterness of the hops kicks in. Very hoppy lasting finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 badlizard (5162) - Berkeley, California, USA - NOV 4, 2009
Dark orange with a fizzy off white head. Hop resin and caramel aroma and taste with some buttery notes on the back end. Decent bitterness throughout.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2009
Clear amber, small head, small lacing. Honey malt, some hops creep through, not the aromatics I would expect from an 80 IBU beer. Dry cotton wraps around the caramel base. Little dank. Leafy earthy hops provide ample balance and carry through the sip.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Fratto (2329) - Arlington, Texas, USA - NOV 17, 2009
Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours a hazy orange brown. Aroma is damn fruity. Tastes of musty fruit and hops.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 7, 2009
I thought this would be on the bigger side for an IPA, but this was just okay. I mean it was still an extremely well made beer and was still quite enjoyable to drink. I personally would have gone with another hop to base a single hop IPA. The honey malts are very present giving a sweet honey smoothness. Strong floral nose through the whole pint. Well balanced and smooth.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 stchloe (691) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 4, 2009
Yummy yum. The nose is ten kinds of hops on top. And the body is just a malty bitter jumble of good. Nice pine and citrus throughout to create a good beer. A nice follow up to the Son of Spot.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 alagnak (467) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - NOV 10, 2009
Bomber. Nose is fairly weak - just not a lot going on - I get some pine and a little fruitiness, but just a light aroma. Falvor is all about pine, spruce needles and woodiness. Starts light and the pine is approachable - like spruce needle tea - finish is assaultive bitter wood. Good, drinkable beer (particularly with spicy food) but needs some balance.
