As the sun rises earlier and stays out longer, we celebrate the coming of spring and the sprouting of this year’s hop crop with a new beer in our Brewmaster Reserve line-up. Hop Pursuit is a crisp, orange blonde extra pale ale with a medium malt body that’s chased by a ton of hop flavor and zing of bitterness. We brewed it with the less aggressive, old school craft brewing hops– Cascade, Willamette, and Mt. Hood– to celebrate more of the hop flavor and less of the hop bitterness. These give the beer a nice and fresh citrus herbal character without a lot of intensity; instead it has a softly flavorful character with touches of orange and lemon. We dry hopped for two weeks to amplify these delicate hop flavors. Available in 22oz. bottles and draught. ABV 6% IBU 55

Pours a deep, thick cheddar orange with a nose of slightly musty grapefruit and orange. Flavor is flat orange-grapefruit and light pine. Average mouthfeel. Disappointing.

(22oz bomber thanks to ericandersnavy) clear amber with a film of white bubbles. Nose of grapefruit, rye, and rhubarb. Taste of bitter citrus, umami, soft carbonation with an oily, bitter finish that’s not super enjoyable. Smelled better than it tasted.

Honey yellow with an aroma of honey and lemon, with a light grassy buzz.. Taste is mostly the same, but dialed down and drinkable, with citrus tartness into the finish. $4/22oz

22 oz. bottle. It pours orange with a really nice white head of foam. The aroma is slightly citrusy and grassy with a fruity, malty backbone. The flavor is oranges, herbal, and touches of grapefruit in the finish. The malts are nicely balanced. It lacks a bitter punch in the finish, which is good for some people and not good for others. Overall, this was a laid back version of an APA, but still pretty solid.

A murky orange color. The head is dense, off-white and about 2 inches. Malty sweet aroma. Bland flavor like an English pale ale. Very smooth texture. The finish just a little bitter but long.

Bomber pours hazy orange/copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, citrus, floral, and slight pine. Taste is malty with some bready bitterness. Drinkable but nothing special, pretty typical of Full Sail.

Pours a light amber with a small lacing head. The aroma is muted, mostly yeast and bread, some malt. The flavor though is better with a nice malty start followed nicely by the bitter hops. A good deal of citrus in the finish which is very dry, crisp and clean. A very nice summer beer.

Crisp and bright pale ale. Very fruity (pear, orange, apple and grapefruit). Bread crust and crackers in the malts. Floral bitterness with a citric bite. Very mild sweetness. Lingering grassy bitterness. Refreshing.

Shared a bomber at Max’s. Poured a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is of citrus (oranges), pine, Lots of hoppiness on the palate along with the grain and bread. Medium bodied beer with a dry finish. Tried this beer because I loved the LTD lager series so much.

22 oz bomber from EZ. Poured a slightly muddy orange/amber body under an average to smaller off white foamy head. Aroma of lemons, wet bread, earth, lemon zest, crusts. Palate was meh..thinner mouthfeel with stingy carbonation and an acidic finish. Flavor of lemons and mud. Overall a lemony earthy beer that is under average at best.
