COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Pursuit is the ultimate celebration of Oregon agriculture and Pacific Northwest Hops. Our brewers shoot a wonderfully hoppy surplus of Cascade, Mosaic, Equinox, and Simcoe into the fermenter using our Hop Shooter, dry hopping the beer and enhancing the aroma of pineapple and late hop flavors. Piney and mango notes follow with a mid-palate hint of honey. Two-Row Northwest Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts provide the right amount of malt character. Balanced by a clean, caramel malt body, Hop Pursuit’s multi-layered hop flavors lead to a crisp, assertive finish. Like the Pacific Northwest, this IPA has hops for days.

22 ounce bottle from the Utah State Store. Pours a clear copper with a smallish white head. The aroma is dusty earthy malts, light honey. The flavor is sweet, biscuit, honey, sweet hops, light bitterness. Earthy and malty. Decent.

Bomber pours clear copper with tan head. This playful aroma seems to be hiding behind the couch and refuses to come out. I get light notes of citrus orange peel and lime like hoppiness as well as some spicy hops and a sense of sweet fruity hard candy. The taste has a moderate level of bitter grapefruit and lime like citrus hops and then rolling into spicy and citrus hop flavor. Into the finish the largely citrus hop bitterness and flavor are joined by a thin river of sweet malts.

Bottle. Pours amber orange with an off white head and some chunks at the end of the bottle. Light floral hoppy aroma with very lightly sweet pale malts. The flavor is well balanced, with light floral hoppy notes and bready pale malts. Not bad.

Always happy to see a new FS product, they never blow me away but you get a solid product and get what it offers .. . Pours a medium caramel gold, medium head, light lacing .. . smell is of biscuits, sap, and english hops .. . medium bitterness, simple and straight forward, a great little session beer and at 3 bucks a bomber, fantastic beer drink! .. . Its an extra pale, i guess, basically an english ipa or pale, but i just wanted a simple brew after a bottle of shared wine and this was good for right before dinner- good and especially good for the price.. . slow down joe jack- slower ... . just stop the truck...

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2016 Bottle (2016 batch). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, grass), lightly yeasty (dough), with light notes of sulfur and egg. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Rather acidic and the nose has some off notes that bring down the one-dimensional hops. Not as terrible as that sounds, but not that good either.

Sarasota, Fl - Total Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Slight sparkling essence to the medium orange pour, bubbly white head, light film of lacing. Aroma has a strong spruce presence, a hint of vanilla sweetness. Pleasant flavor, nice bittersweetness with some caramel sweetness, some grapefruit citrus notes, a touch of mango. Decently thick mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

22 oz bottle. Wow, a very good beer here. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a foamy white head. Aroma is hops, touches of malts. Flavor is a nice, clean citrus hop one, with slight notes of malts, but for the most part, a good, decent, extremely well hopped pale ale.
