COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It’s a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn’t bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

12 oz bottle. Clear amber with an off-white head; lots of lace. Nose is light toffee, grass and mild pine. Medium light with moderate carb. Taste is toffee, lemon pith and tangerine with a catty finish.

Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head, nice lacing and solid head retention. Earthy hop tones, light wooden notes, a light spicy hint. Creamy mouth feel with a light bitter resnious body and a mild citrus note. Finish lightly sweet with a lingering bitterness. Fine.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a light golden with no head and lacing, aroma is of soap and hops, flavor is thin and boring for an IPA, not great balance between the malt and the hops, pass.

Full Sail - this is the first time I have seen something from them, so I grabbed a couple of sixpacks. I was hoping for something special from this Oregon craft brewery, but this was just all right. Dark pour. Fairly dry and flavorful. A bit of molasses-like malt, light sourness, and a fresh quality. Not very rich or aromatic, but a solid IPA.

Biscuity caramel malt aroma with a grassy and citrus hop nose. Orange-copper color, near clear and an off-white persistent head. Medium caramel malt sweetness and medium grapefruit citrus and resin bitterness. Slightly sticky, medium body and moderate carbonation. Balanced attack and middle. Fairly long and bitter finish.

12oz screwtop. These have finally made it out east. Not as good as I remember them when I was living in the pacific northwest. Average IPA and as the description states it is an english style as opposed to the preferred (for me anyway) west coast style.

Poured from bottle. Floral hop aroma. Clear amber, just a bit of a head. Floral and pine hops in flavor. A dash of honey as well. Nicely hopped, not overwhelming. Not best in class, but quite good.

This is a nice and simple IPA. It doesn’t have too much bite but is nice and smooth. I think this is a well brewed offering and look forward to more from Full Sail.
