2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20 obguthr (2383) - Poquoson, Virginia, USA - JUN 29, 2010
Orange flesh and lemon zest aroma. Clear amber, thin head, good lacing. Delightful citrus flavor, tastes as it smells, with a bit of orange peel, generic bitter finish. Not real imaginative, but enjoyable. Actually more citrusy than billed.

Poured from a bottle. Goldn color. Compared to other American IPA’s there is moderate amount of citrusy and floral hops in the aroma. Mostly hops in the flavor. Pretty dry. Light mouth feel. Over all not overwhelming but I’m looking for a little more in a good IPA.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 eclaycamp (187) - , Kansas, USA - JUN 19, 2010
12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden amber with a nice spongy head with good lacing. Nice aroma of freshly mowed grass, with some citrus and pine in the background. Kind of like cutting the lawn when a thunderstorm rolls through. The first taste is pleasant without being overpowering; there are plenty of mellow hops on the forefront with a very clean finish with mild hop bitterness.. Very little in terms of malt profile is present in the body of the beer - it’s all hops. This is a beer that’s very enjoyable to drink. It doesn’t punch you in the mouth the way a west-coast IPA does.

12oz bottle from Publix supermarket. Pours yellow gold with a creamy white head. Nose is caramel, some biscuity malt, and general bittering hops. Flavor is same- a bit mild for an IPA. Malt and bitterness finish off this mild-mannered, light bodied IPA.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jrob21 (1751) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 3, 2010
Grass and hay aroma. Flavors much the same with a decent malt backbone and body. A little bit of caramel and toasty grain in there. Finish is slightly bitter citrus. Not my favorite hop profile here with the english style hops.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 lagermonkey (725) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUN 3, 2010
This bottle was part of my Florida haul.
Pours crystal clear pale copper with a frothy ivory head. Smells of grassy hops and fresh mown grass.
The mouth is full of quite biting bitter hops, herbal, piney and a bit harsh. Not much malt to back it up and the body feels a bit thin as a result. Long herbal bitterness with a clean finish.
This is just OK, it could be a little better with a boost to the malt profile.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tgncc (1796) - Bellmore, New York, USA - MAY 23, 2010
Extra from a trade with Douglas88. The aroma is a little weak, more like toasted malts than the normal aroma of an IPA. The appearance is more gold than ornage, white head. The flavor is again toasted malt, light citrus, very little sweetness. The finish is a sort of floral bittering, and a bit like noble hops. A little strange. Drinkable, however. Probably good to pound on a hot evening. Thanks, Doug. Another beer I never would see here in NY.
