COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It’s a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn’t bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. The aroma has a decent presence of hops, but there’s also something unpleasant. The flavor has fruity, floral hops and a mild unpleasant something. The body is light with an oily texture and soft carbonation.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is grapefruity and slight peachy hoppy. Sweet and fruity flavoured. Mild citrusy and peachy. Vague malt base. Bitter and dry finish. Smooth and easy.

12oz bottle from Kroger. Honey colored body topped with just a bit of fizzy off-white head. Smells of citrus/grapefruit hops and a little caramel sweetness. Flavor is mild citrus hop bitter with balanced mild malty sweetness. Not too much depth, but not that bad.

Blind sample, GLBN IPA challenge 2010. up against VooDoo 4 seasons. Light color, medium to light hop aroma, light floralness, light bitterness. Lost 0-3

This is a respectable beer and I’ve certainly put down enough of them to go from full sails to three sheets to the wind, but at the end of the day, it just doesn’t stack up to bigger IPA’s. When tasted next to some of my favorite IPA’s, Full Sail’s offering is more of a Reefed Sail IPA--a little bit flatter flavor profile, less lacing on the glass, fizzy head. But then I’m just nitpicking..

Pours golden with a white head. Mild citrus and pine aroma. Taste is light malt with slightly bitter hop aftertaste. Not very hoppy for an IPA.

Aroma of earthy hops. Pours a little lighter than expected, nice head. Palate is one dimensional, bitterness seems a bit disappointing for a IPA. Wouldn’t recommend it, there is much better out there.

Pours golden with white head, aroma is bready malt with some floral hops. Taste is all English IPA style, with some noble hop character and bready malt that finishes a bit bitter.
