COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It’s a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn’t bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

Sorry, just didn’t like this. Bitter and unbalanced. A little chalky tasting. Nothing particularly notworthy in the taste, and not a smooth drinking beer.

bready and substantial with tastes of grapefruit bitter rind and mens cologne.mild broomstraw malt flavor is how that comes about. bittery sustained finish needs to remind one that this is an ipa.an interestng take on an american style ipa. inspired brewmanship.

Smell is a faint bitterness, with a touch of grass. Pours a clear amber, with a thin white head. Slightly bitter taste, with hints of tea and biscuits. Very well balanced. A decent beer, but not outstanding.

Bottle via homebrew swap. Golden copper, tihn white head. Nose is English maltiness, lemony hops, hay & summer fruits. Flavor is resiny hop, doughy malt. Slight spiciness comes in at the middle with light caramel. Finish is rindey & bitter with a nice toothy malt. Interesting.

An odd malty sweetness in the aroma, and an odd hop aroma I just don’t think I’m familiar with. It pours a golden amber with a one-finger head that dissipates but never goes fully away. The flavor is just off in some way and a bit watery. A little hoppy with rather malty taste. It’s smooth enough, but nothing great.

Malty sweet but not cloying. A little dusty. A good amount of body, but nothing enticing. Hops in the taste are pretty good-some pine-but could have more taste.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2008 This is a good, full-bodied IPA, although still not really what I would choose to have. It is deep, coppery amber with a medium off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin foam ring but surprisingly leaves some very nice lace down the glass. The aroma is wonderful: sweet malty, yeasty bread, citrusy and flowery hops, a hint of rosewater, a caramel. The taste is much more hoppy, as expected, but relatively smooth and balanced with malty body for the style, making it more complex and interesting. It’s bitter but not super bitter and has good sweet caramel malty traits and the finish, while bitter and hoppy, has a lightly caramel grain element and a hints of rasewater, too, along with pine and citrus. It’s interesting and possibly my favourite IPA, but I’m just not a big IPA person.

12oz bottle. pours a very nice amber flavor with a good frothy head. smells of a bold almost robust hoppiness but then the initial taste doesnt leave me with a heavy hop hangover.. it is bold and hints of earthy, piney, chewy hops dance on my palate.. very good IPA, very good.
