COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It’s a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn’t bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

12 oz bottle 10/4/07: Light amber w/a yellowish highlight and a thin, but lasting off white head. Grassy, resiny, herbal, and spicy hops up front! Medium bready/biscuity malt w/ a lightly toasted note are behind in the race compared to hops! Pretty clean of esters, and becomes slightly woody as it warms. Hop balanced flavor with woody, light almost citrusy, but mostly herbal to grassy dominates! Balanced to bitter, but pleasant. Malt plays a supporting, but definitely not dominant role. Very low bready malt and caramel is very light. I personally would love to see more malt character in this flavor wise! Dry finish, hops dominate aftertaste (grassy, herbal, resiny) Dry, hop astringent mouthfeel, medium carbonation, and a lighter medium body. Too hop dominant all the way around for my liking! I’d like to see more malt, but okay for what it is.

A golden amber with a bitter aroma. This is a moderate IPA and all around pretty good.

An all-around good IPA. A decent hop flavor with little else, crisp finish with some lingering bitterness. Certainly a good buy for those everyday drinking occasions.

Sampled this one on draught at the brewery in Hood River, OR. This beer pours to a bright, deep golden to orange color, with a tall white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is very fragrant, with big aromas of citrus, lemon, and pine. The palate is firm, with good, crisp, pale pale malt flavors. This beer finishes with more good pale malt up front, then ends with a very zesty, and bitter citrus/pine hop bite that lingers. A classic example of AIPA, that showcases hop aromas and bitterness wonderfully.

Aroma is reminiscent of a Sam Adams Boston Lager, however, flavor is the tried and true taste of an IPA. Nice and hoppy, and it doesn’t hurt that is 13 proof. Palate is very managble.

Hoppy aroma, yellow color to the beer. Crisp but not overwhelmingly so. A pang of fruit aftertaste, but overall a solid IPA to it. Definitely worth drinking.

Big and bold indeed. Lots of hoppy aromas float up from this yellowish brew. Crisp, packs a punch, but very drinkable to my taste. Lots of pit fruit throughout and dominating pine, with a bitter bite and a bitter finish. Cirtus notes of lemon and grapefruit cut through the body of this beer and liven it up. Good stuff.
