Amber color, small head but over all nicely made. Aroma with classic bitterness (a la wooden barrels). I know that this one is good expl. of IPA.

Medium golden color, smallish head. Mildly hopped, fairly bitter, malts are evident. Finish is sharp. Aftertaste is hoppy with medium bitterness, some malt evident in the aftertaste.

A light amber color with a white head, and a rather light aroma compared to most Pacific NW IPA’s. Not a lot happening with the flavor, but just a pleasant beer, and one that I could certainly drink a fair number , which at 6.5, would probably sneak up on you.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 papajohn (1238) - San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA - AUG 20, 2002
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2006 Amber yellow color with a small white head. Soapy aroma with a hint of pine sap. Slightly sweet malt start followed by a grassy/piny/citrus bitterness and an orangy dry bitter finish. Dosen’t stand out as an IPA, but drinkable. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Brewmaster (168) - USA - JUL 1, 2002
Aroma leans a little too much on the malty side, yet the dry hoppy taste comes through nice. Abit sweet for my liking but overall a nice IPA that is very enjoyable.

copper colored IPA, hoppy up front, w/ a bitter finish, not too well balanced
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 bbooth (115) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAY 23, 2002
I am an IPA fan, but I did not like this beer as far as IPA’s go. Little hop flavor and aroma. Alot of bitterness which is good when you have a large malt character (which I thought this lacked).
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 HoppedHead (106) - seattle, Washington, USA - APR 15, 2002
Decent IPA, Bitter but lacking in aroma hops, mild malty taste at first followed by a biiter crisp finish, a good summer time ipa, light body golden color, enjoyable not excellent
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - APR 11, 2002
Pours a nice orange or amber yellow color, head is white and generous, the lace in sheets that coats the glass. Slightly sweet malt start, the top is light, the finish a nice hop bitter, dry and moderate carbonation. A middle of the road IPA, not over powering, but quite quaffable and well worth a sample.
