COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English style IPA is a full-flavored, full-bodied brew that has a big bold malt character and intense aromatics. It’s a well-balanced, golden-colored brew that has a crisp hop finish that doesn’t bite. With its palate cleansing finish, IPA is a perfect for highly spiced dishes with curry, ginger, garlic or cumin. This classic English style IPA is brewed with: 2-row Pale malt and is hopped with Challenger and East Kent Goldings hops

probstk (1911) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 25, 2011
Sample at the Roc City Brewfest (Rochester), served in the taster glass provided. 19FE11.

App.: Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma: Orange marmalade, a bit vegetal and mashy, some biscuit malt, a little pine, OK. Palate: Medium body, prickly effervescence. Flav.: Apricot, bright fruitiness, pine, marmalade, a bit of caramel and brown sugar, a bit more interesting than the nose...; dry with fair bitterness and a fantastic finish of fruity malts.

A so-so aroma leads to a decent flavour and a great finish.

toasty malt nose with a light hop bite. somewhat bitter, but didnt boast enough of the hoppy goodness that one would expect from an ipa.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a white head. The aroma has floral and lightly citric hops on a pale malty base. The flavor has grassy and floral hops, light citric notes, and a light sweet malty base. Pretty good.

Aroma: notes of hay with a scents of citrus and spruce Appearance: straw to copper color and clear with about one finger of foam Taste: hops are bountiful, decent malt backbone, hints of citrus and slight pine Palate: medium body, thin in texture, with an average carbonation and a bitter finish. Overall: An excellent everyday IPA. After i finished the first i couldn’t wait for the third. This beer is very easy drinking considering it has 60 IBUs.

Golden color with a tinge of orange. Crisp pacific NW hops dominate aroma. Smooth, think body that is appropriate for style. Good hop flavor that is balanced with the crisp finish. Faint fruit/floral flavor on the finish, especially after warming a little. An IPA - not outstanding on any category, but representative of style. Very approachable and drinkable.

Bottle from Bonita liquor store: Poured a light honey golden color with a frothy formation of head. My nose is able to detect a minor touch of hops and other elements such as caramel, jasmine, and a faint scent of some sort of green plant. The flavor is tamed and only carries a puny but bitter hop presence that could be overlooked and mistaken for a pale ale or English ESB.
