7/19/02: Aroma is light with some caramel and fruity tones. Color is a nice apricot with medium head--quite attractive. Malt comes through right at beginning, then gives way to a moderate hop burst, which is followed by a second tangier hop wave as it goes down--an interesting sensation! The overall balance isn’t quite there for me, but I love the individual ingredients...plenty of flavor...Re-Rate 7/23/02: Hop presence in aroma a bit more in evidence this time, and this particular glass was gorgeous--honeycombed head with copious lace...and that wonderful color... Re-Rate 10/26/02: This is clearly not an English-style IPA, but is not strident like some West Coast offerings...Body a little lighter than optimum, but the bright flavor profile and bittersweet grapefruit-dry finish carry the day...

clear light amber pour, frothy white head. lots of pine/grass hops in the aroma. very clean tasting with some good earthy notes, with crisp hoppy finish. a great IPA.

This is a respectable IPA, but the hops overpower the malts a bit too much for my taste.

Aroma is a sour malt scent with just a hint of hops. Color is a bright clear gold with very good carbonation and a thick head. Taste is hoppy and peppery. Starting with medium body it goes down crisp. Finish comes in with a little malt and a bold spicy hop flavor that ends with a pepper taste and a mellow bitterness. After taste is clean yet dry as the spicy taste builds a bit. This is a tasty, easy drinking brew and is a different take on an IPA.

12 oz bottle from a trade with douglas88. pours orange with minimal head or carbonation. the aroma of this is awesome. my mouth actually waters every time i smell this brew. beautiful hop malt balance with neither one over powering each other. it has so much balance and the hops and malts compliment each other so well. the flavour leaves something to be desired. i really dont like being teased with a great aroma and then let down by a watery body. overall quite enjoyable but i wish the flavours were on par with the rest. thanks doug!

12oz bottle-pours a thin off white head and slightly hazy gold color. Aroma is nice, mellow citrus-lemon/some pine-hops. Taste is somewhat citrus-lemon/some pine-hops, secondary/faint medium malt/grain. OK carbonation. Thanks Wasatch.

This is rather light in aroma and appearance. This is definitely different from many IPAs I’ve had. Hops are really only found in the end, with a light lager/amber ale hint in the body. A nice finish, but mostly an under-par IPA.

Golden amber color. Orange and lemon aroma. Slightly grassy in the malt department. Insane hoppiness. For the money, theis is an outstanding IPA.This stuff rules.

Decent standard IPA, a bit lighter and low bodied than I like my IPAs though. Still, nicely balanced hop profile and easy drinkability for an IPA. Worth a taste at least once for sure, the full sail is always tasty.

Hazy orange body, medium light tan head. Aroma is sweet hoppy (grapefruit and piney). Taste is very hoppy, pine and grapefruit. Some sweetness, and it finishes very bitter.
