matt7215 (565), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada May 14, 2008 12 oz bottle from a trade with douglas88. pours orange with minimal head or carbonation. the aroma of this is awesome. my mouth actually waters every time i smell this brew. beautiful hop malt balance with neither one over powering each other. it has so much balance and the hops and malts compliment each other so well. the flavour leaves something to be desired. i really dont like being teased with a great aroma and then let down by a watery body. overall quite enjoyable but i wish the flavours were on par with the rest. thanks doug!
mcc5468 (42), USA Aug 29, 2008 Pours an orange-tinged golden color. Medium head that dissipated quickly. Light hop scent of citrus, maybe some pine. Taste is a nice lingering citrus hop. Carbonation is prett good. A little on the light side but a nice subdued IPA, in line with English IPAs. Good session IPA. doubleipa (219), Georgia, USA Aug 29, 2008 Nice three quarter inch, creamy, white head. Body was extremely clear, amber. Aroma was underwhelming. A bit of hay, straw, light hoppiness, and pine. Moderate bitterness throughout. Dry texture up front, but with a nice finish. Kind of dissapointed. Not really what I expected from a great West Coast brewer. easy drnking and good long lasting aftertaste. hophead9 (1), Corvallis, Oregon, USA does not count Aug 28, 2008 Clear golden with an orange cast. Moderately creamy head. Light floral hoppiness in the middle. Clean refreshing finish. A good summertime IPA. I like it with grilled wild salmon. It won’t overpower most foods that you pair it to. toddkrem (68), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 19, 2008 Pours slightly clear with good amounts of head. Good taste, and very smooth. Great beer if having more than a few. ideardorff (27), Palmer, Alaska, USA Aug 19, 2008 Great floral hop aroma. Orange in color with a white medium head. Dry and hoppy with a decent balance of malt. Crisp, but slightly dry. A fairly good IPA.
