2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 blueturk (82) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 28, 2008Pours with a low white head and amber color. Carmel aroma. Not as crisp as I would expect a lager (dunkel) to be. I did drink this quite cold (~37F). Everything is quite average. Thanks Carsten for bringing this beer over for me to try.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Blairgus (1753) - California, USA - JUN 19, 2012
19 June 2012, bottle. Yellow, clear, no bubbles or head. Nose is sweet straw. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Very sweet, slight syrup flavor, kind of a sickly sweet finish. It's an imperial (or strong) lager with no hops. Not my favorite.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 sthlm (1227) - Iowa, USA - AUG 22, 2010
[Bottle] Pours reddish-cola brown with a tiny light beige head. Aroma is muted initially, but then caramel and brown sugar, with some malt in the background makes its way through. Notes of marshmallow and an unidentifiable fruitiness are in there as well. Taste is not as sweet as the aroma, with nuttiness, moderate bitterness, and toasted malt in the forefront. Good mouthfeel, smooth, somewhat dry finish. The more I drank this beer, the better I found it to be. Well made, and something I hope to revisit.

bottled on 4/13/10 consumed 6/11/10.
fairly typical marzen color... red beer with a soft barely off white head.
malty aroma with notes of wood, caramel, unknown fruit?, a little dust and orange.
the flavor is similar only it is a little sweeter than i like for the style... along with a bit of a lager stink and peppery prickly hops. 6/3/63/13/3.1
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DrinkEmUpJones (1019) - Georgia, USA - JUN 12, 2010
A red orange colored lager with nice white head. Medium light aroma of caramel and bread. A smooth creamy palate with little to no hops. There are caramel notes on this lighter style beer with a slight malty flavor. All in all a great drinking beer in warmer weather.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 daknole (7205) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 10, 2010
Dark amber pour, very small white amber. Aroma has light hops, caramel malt, stone fruit and some crackers. Flavor is slightly hoppy and hints of a macro...does taste kind of like an octoberfest mixed with a pale lager. Boring. Oh yeah, thanks to hellbilly for the tick!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 sandberglar (148) - Scottsdale, USA - MAY 29, 2010
Clear ruby red with a white head and a heavy caramel aroma. Full bodied, sweet, and very malty/caramel tasting. Billed as a lager, but tastes more like a Munich style oktoberfest. Still good.
