I was impressed with this brew, as it was thicker than typical lagers and had more flavor. This beer was very malty and enjoyable with light caramel flavors. Good stuff. Nephilium (548), Ohio, USA

Touch of fruitiness to the beer, with a hint of spice. Not much in the way of bitterness. Drinkable, but not a style I’m a big fan of. One problem with just labeling it a lager, it doesn’t say what kind it is. glkaiser (1164), Seattle, Washington, USA

Mild bready malts mix with some light caramel sweetness and some apricot. Very light and smooth; the 6.4% ABV could sneak up on you. Not a style that is going to blow you away, but this very solid. gtox (4), Vancouver, Washington, USA does not count | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jun 17, 2008 nice amber pour with a thin cream head. malts and spices on the nose. thicker than i was expecting. The malts and hops didn’t seem in balance to me. Very much like their session lager mar (1822), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Amber beer, small head, no bubbles, or lacing. Very powerful aroma bready, doughy aroma, with malt. Very smooth malty flavor with slight toasting, and dough and eyast notes. Smooth mouthfeel, full body, flavor, and appeal. A damn fine lager, if there is such thing. SamGamgee (1429), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Updated: Jun 14, 200812oz bottle. Clear amber with a small head. Subtle caramel malts and spicy and earthy hop aroma. Reminds me of an english ale actually. The palate is medium and a little sticky; about the expected fullness for the strength, but a little too syrupy. The flavor has a caramel and bread crust malt sweetness, with an earthy hop bite leading to a medium biter finish. Nice balance, and goes down smooth, but the stickiness brings down the drinkability a little. An odd one to be sure, mixing character of a german lager, an english pale, and the signature full sail flavor. Still a decent effort, and my favorite full sail offering thus far. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

Malty and sweet in flavor. Watery body. Not much hop flavor. The finish is kind of dirty to me. Lacks the fineness of a Munich Helles and is too sweet for my tastes.
