Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Jan 26, 2008 Courtesy of Irishboy, Thanks Richard! 12 oz bottle. Pours a golden color with a loud fizzy offwhite head that dissapates quickly to a faint rim. Nose is fruity (hints of cherry), grassy and mild hops. Initial taste is again that fruity character overlayed with candied sugar. Moving into a mid palate of toasted malts. Finishing with grapefruit hops on the sides of the tongue. Average palate duration. Dry chalky finish. Medium body. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours copper with medium off-white head. Doughy aroma with very light herbal hops. Flavor is caramel malt, hint of alcohol flavor gives it a bit of aggressiveness. Finish has a touch of prickly bitterness, hop resin and very mild alcohol burn. Very good, lightly hoppy, substantial lager. Tripplebrew (486), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 12, 2008 Pours a light yellow/orange with a little white head. Aroma is caramel malts. Flavor has undertones of bourbon-like sweetness. I had this last year and remember it tasting better than this. Disappointed. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Jan 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours orange yellow, white head. Aroma is malt, grass, caramel, peat. Flavor is malt, tomato, peat. The peat killed it for me. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA Jan 2, 2008 12 oz. glass bottle- color of honey, with a small white head - nose of detergent, some sweetness, slight yeast, and mild hops – taste of slight bitterness, mild hops, some malt, and light fruit- body is light to medium, and with medium carbonation – aftertaste of some malt, and slightly bitter Soonah (900), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Dec 31, 2007 From IrishBoy via trade. The pour was an ever so slightly cloudy copper color with a decent one-finger white head that coughed up the occassional ring of lacing. The aroma was light grassy hops, sweet malt and faint spice. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, with fresh cut grass combining with some sugar and even some creamy butter. The mouthfeel is non-offensive, the finish is fairly crisp. Not bad. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 21, 2007 Am excellent premium lager. Pour was a medium orange with a one finger off white head. Aroma of light malt and not much else. A tad weak. Taste was exceptional for this style. Crisp, clean beer taste with a little hop bite in the aftertaste. Dry finish. Very nice. douglas88 (1559), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Dec 17, 2007 Updated: Jun 16, 2008Thanks to riversideAK for this one. Pours a light golden with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy and fruity. The taste is smooth and easy; a light malt, some grassy and bready hints, and some sweeter flavors. Not bad, smooth and a medium body.
