Bottle. 4/16/13. Pours a pale, translucent green-yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is bread, wheat, some citrus, banana, fruit. Taste is crisp, refreshing; earthy, grass, citrus, some spiciness, floral; gentle citrus finish. A summer beer. Mouth feel is watery, soft. Some light lacing. Carbonation is medium-high; it works. Surprisingly falvorful, light, refreshing; nearly sessionable. I liked it.

12 oz bottle. Golden/light copper and clear with an off-white head and light patchy lacing. Floral, grassy aroma with spicy hops, dried fruit and toasted grains. Soft light body with a crisp and clean feel. The flavor is similar to the aroma, with some earthiness and light citrus. Solid pilsener

Going from memory. I got this for a good price locally. The aroma contains caramel, cereal notes and a bit of citrus. Good body. This was an enjoyable pilsener.

Malty aroma with floral notes. Pours a light golden color with light head with high amount of carbonation. Light, very malty flavor with light smooth finish. Not much complexity but a refreshing light beer.

Bottle. Pours with the visuals of any macrolager out there ... golden, bubbly, and topped with white foam. The aroma hints at some amped up woody hops. This drinks with a medium malt base, moderately bready, topped with a snap of grass to finish it off. Easy drinker. (#4932, 1/23/2013)

Palate: light and easy drinking

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Clear golden color, thin white head. Decent lace. Bready nose, light tart, sweet zest, some sourness. Little lemon peel. Little citrus hops. Pronounced carbonation. Lighter body. Not what I’d call smooth. Light bite, even. Not terrible, but not easy to drink, and intensely forgettable

Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with a half finger white head. Good carbonation leads to a long lasting head with a minimal bit of lacing.
Aroma is a mix of flowers and steamed vegetables. There is also a solid bready malt base that is very appealing and pilsener-like.
Everything goes wrong on the flavor. It’s like eating a huge pile of cooked vegetables. The DMS is off the charts! It overpowers the floral hops and the malt is barely able to sneak through. It becomes about the only thing noticeable about the beer and that is not good. Mouthfeel is very watery with an odd sharp, almost metallic, bitterness.
Overall, not a good effort from Full Sail. I can tell there is possibly a good beer lurking underneath the off flavors but there is too much for it to overcome. One to avoid.

August 15th, 2011 - My reviews of summer beers that are light, clear and crisp always do a great injustice to the style. An old Czech man who wiles away his times at breweries in bars in the country of his birth could probably tell you about the thousand different factors that make a good pilsner, but my training is grounded in ales. So, I try to supplement my descriptions with some image of back breaking labor or unpleasant sweating. But this isn’t fair just because I can’t pick out the differences between one, light, thirst quenching and well balanced beer from another. So, I’ll just be succinct and say that the Full Sail LTD Limited Edition Lager Recipe No. 3 is a great, light, quenching and well balanced beer. With its clear, golden color and a fuzzy, cotton head it looks the part, and smells the part too, with a clear mineral aroma and the light scent of malt, though it’s not pilsner malt per se. The flavor is delicate and mild, like a pale lager, but with more depth. The body is light and quenching with just enough carbonation to keep it interesting, and enough sugar to make this taste like an in-between meal treat. One finds clarity in the flavor mild acidity, and a general flavor profile that lends this to lawn mowing and lawn watching.
