Bottle. Pours clear amber with a moderate white head, some lacing. Aroma is fresh herbal hops, a subtle touch of citrus, mild earth, some light grainy malt. Beer is full bodied, phenomenal palate for a pils. Very nicely balanced. Malt is lightly sweet and has notes of dough and tort, green, leafy hop flavors merge with this, eventually petering out to a satisfying mouth-coating bitterness. Very well done American pilsner, loved reflecting on the character of the Sterling hops.

12 oz bottle via Hagen. Pours a near clear amber with a large white head.Nose is quite nice and Saazy..er sterlingy..whatever. Taste is sweet up front, bready, with some nice floral hops and a dash of lemon. Very easy drinking, well balanced. Medium body, not as carbonated as most Pils which is fine by me...Very good summer backyard beer.

Mineral aroma, limestone? and some spicy noble hops. Bright gold, small sparse white head, active carbonation in the glass. Doughy shortbread malt base, transitions smoothly into a light crisp peppery hop finish. Gave some to my dad, too bitter for him.

Bottle... Poured a golden color with a thin white head. Aroma wasn’t that hoppy, but a rich, buttery sweet malt character. Noticeable hops on the in the initial flavors and a nice sweet, grain character. A spiced, yeasty finish.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2009 great summer beer. no cat piss or skunk flavor in this lager/pilsener thing. very crisp, nice bitterness, very clean. for the style i’m having a hard time finding flaws, and it was 100 degrees today and this really helped quench my thirst. grassy finish, spicy hops in there too. not watery at all. nice offering from full sail! I wish they’d make their ales as well as their lagers :Z

Poured from Bottle into Pint glass.
Pours a crystal clear golden with some orange-ish hues and a fizzy straight white head that quickly dissolves into a thin layer atop the glass. The nose is filled with mostly grain, mellow yeast and some slight citrus hop notes. The flavor is sweet malt and hop bitterness upfront and ends with an earthy bitterness that is short-lived. Its light bodied and seems almost a little under carbonated which I actually find nice. This is my kind of lager for sure. Its not bitter, mostly sweet, and is very sessionable. Great summer beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 joet (1875) - Fulton, California, USA - JUN 5, 2009
Dark golden, fine white foam, sweet light caramels, biscuit flavors. Some handsome leather and deep bushy (not floral or anything with serious volatiles) hop aromas. Medium-low effervescence. Crisp and flawless. Most reminescent of the slightly softer bodied and mineral rich favorites of Michael Jackson.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2009 From Bottle:
Appearance: Pours a clear, dull yellow gold, with an impressive 1/4 inch dense white head.
Aroma: Dry bready and biscuity malt.
Taste: Moderately bitter crisp hopping and dry buiscuity malt. Finshes really clean.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and refreshing.
Overall: An amazing pilsener, with no corny twang, perfect sturdy bitterness, and would make a great picnic/session beer. Godbless Full Sail for maintaining respect in the Lager community.
