clear yellow body with a small short-lived head. smells of straw and honey and wet cement during summer. sharp bite upfront on the first sip, kind of like iron on my tongue. overall this is thin, and lacking in a bit of everything. good on a hot day, and went well with my spiced chicken and rice, finish is saccarin(sp?) and macro-like.

Originally reviewed: 11/4/11. I have wanted to try this one for awhile, and now that Full Sail distributes to NC, I got that chance. Picked up a 6-pack at my local grocery. Poured the final one into a pint glass for review. Pours a pale gold with a thin white head on top. Faint lacy rings cling to the glass. The nose is fresh and peppy, with floral hops and a big citrus aroma. Great crisp feel with a moderately high carbonation zip. Light buttery flavors meld with lemon zest and a flavorful hoppy finish. Faint peppery bite lings just a bit at each sip. This beer delivered. I dig it, and I’m glad I can get it locally now.

Bottle. Straw golden with a small white head. Nose is grassy, a little sweetness, a little bit of cooked veggies, herbal, citrus hops, honey. Flavor is actually pretty nice. crisp palate. Solid little beer, could be tad dryer, but its good.

12oz bottle from Sam’s, Durham. Now this one is far better than the other lagers I’ve had in this series. Clear gold pour with a moderate carbonation and prickly head to it. Nose is dry and understated for the most part, with hints of noble hops, some malts for balance, and an herbal, citric finish. This proves to be an accurate foretaste of the flavors in this nice solid dry pils, which has flashes of real brightness, and is consistently sessionable.

Superior, Co. - Superior Liquors - 12 oz bottle - Oregon-Colorado game tailgate. Brilliant dark gold pour, sticky off-white head with plenty of lacing. Earthy, buttery aroma. Flavor is crisp with some buttery notes, a bit of nuttiness and some grainy notes. Crisp mouthfeel. Decent.

Clear golden yellow with a two finger fluffy slowly decomposing bone cap. Aroma is sweet, grassy and noble with a light floralness to it as well. Taste is sweet and very dry with honey, noble hops, dusty malt and a mild bitter finish.

Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Very clean tasting. Nice crisp finish. Nothing special but this would hit the spot on a hot day.

Pale straw colour with a tight white head. The aroma is fairly clean and crisp with a nice kiss of noble hoppiness. There is also a lovely kiss of herbal noble character. A little bit of light grassiness in addition to the pale pilsner malt. A touch of fresh grassiness as well. There is a little bit of DMS initially that I could probably do without, but it’s pretty nice stuff.
