Straw golden with a whispy white head. Nose is faint--some grassy notes, light sweeter malts. Fairly nice flavor, nice interplay between the malt and hops. A little heavy, could stand for this beer more in the 5.5% range. But a cool brew.

04 falls short of some of the other Limited Edition lagers. Gold color. Lots of malt and virtually no hop presence at all. Medium sweet, but also a chemical quality I don’t care for. Alcohol is prominent in the flavor as well.

Light golden in color with soft white head. Very sweet malty, floral aroma like a belgian. Super soft texture and deceptively strong. Lightly bitter and sweet, well balanced with a nice bitter edge. One of the best lagers Ive had.

Full Sail LTD 04 has a thin, slightly off-white head and a rich, clear, golden appearance, with some lacing and lots of streaming bubbles. The aroma is slight, but, with effort, one can detect some sweetness and a bit of citrus. Taste is stronger, with grape fruit, bread, sugar, and bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Full Sail LTD 04 finishes crisp and dry. Overall, for the alcohol level, it is quite drinkable. Good stuff. RJT

A strong-lager with very refreshing lager-yeast qualities and enough hopping to make it unique. Gold. medium-light body. Brings forth vivid imagery of the old lagers my dad drank when I was a kid (that is, junky lager).

It’s a very simple beer, using only two ingredients. If this beer was a bar fight, the Hops would big a 6 ft. 4 biker, and the Barley a college-aged hipster. You can guess who wins.

I was surprised as soon as I clicked on this neer to see that it is 7%, because it sure did not taste like it. Very nice, well made lager with a malt forwardness that I really liked.

This beer has unique taste but nothing mind blowing, a bit bitter a bit of everything I recommend it but same time it won't have you wanting more just my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Best by 04MAY12 Pours a yellow lager with little head production and anticipated clarity - excellent. (3) Smells of earthy hops with a hint of skunkiness. Not much going on the nose here, not impressed. (2) Flavor is interestingly grainy - theres a hint of what I can only describe as clam juice aftertaste mixed with a little wood. I’m not necessarily put off by this, alas, I keep taking another sip to see if I can’t dissect. Interesting. (3.5). Thin with moderate carb and a mouthwatering finish. (3). An interesting tasting beer, but not something I would recommend, but something I would certainly pair with a good cioppino or Manhatten clam chowder. (3)

As you see, this golden malt throws off a tall lingering head. Not much on aromatics but thick and malty on the tongue. This brew is quite sweet and lush with little to no bittering on the finish. I’d call this a European Strong Lager style as it weighs in at a hefty 7% abv which is unnoticeable by taste but explains the thick sweet maltiness. I’d have to say there are no offensive nuances that usually accompany this style. It’s all fresh. Not bad if you’re trying to get loaded on an 8$ six-pack.
