dmac (3896) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAR 17, 2011
12 oz bottle from EZ. Poured a clear thinner bodied orange/amber with a smaller bubbly whitefish head. Aroma of amber grains, vegetables, dry toffee, alcohol, crusty breads. Flavor is slightly more vegetative then the Aroma along with notes of slight citrusy chocolate. Average at very best ........ahh who am I kidding this is below average and you will never see me buying this again.

Quite dark amber with a moderate, but quickly gone, whitish head that actually leaves a decent bit of lacing. Aroma is light, with some light malt, metallic, and slight spice and hop notes. Taste is slightly sweet malt with just a touch of hops at the finish. Medium body. Nothing special, it seems well made, it’s just a little plain.

Bottle @ Hotelroom, Denver. Pours dark amber with a nice big creamy offwhite head. Aroma of bread, toffee, hay, grassy hops. Taste is bready and caramel malts, light grassy and floral hops. Thin to medium body, lively coarbonation. Well made amber, but nothing special. 130411

12oz bottle from BevMo. Pours a very dark red-brown with head and lace. Nose is caramel and toffee, with a slight chocolate overtone. Flavor is rich and substantial, with the toffee carrying through and adding hints of green and black tea. Mouth feel is clean. Interesting, but not something I’d drink every day.

I can see that it is going to be easy to get hooked on these limited editions from Full Sail!! This brew poured up a dark crimson red-colored body with a light foamy head that quickly dissipated and left minimal lacing effects on the glass. Aromas of caramel, roasted nuts, hops and malts. Flavors of the same; very well-balanced with a crisp, clean, smooth finish. Light bodied so this is a very easy-to-drink brew which makes for a great session beer.

12 oz bottle- Pours dark rusty orange with a thin off white head that reduces to a collar. Aroma is some caramel, malt and some hops. The taste is very much like you’d expect an amber to taste, caramel and toasted malt character, dry finish. This was okay, but not really my style.

chinchill (1617) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 24, 2013
12 oz bottle dated 6/7/11 served in a pint glass. Pours a clear red-brown (dark amber) color with a large head of light beige foam. Head dies down to a lasting thin coat and leaves a little lacing. A - Not much aroma except for a not particularly attractive aroma of mixed grains. T: near duplicate of Killian’s Red MF: Light/medium body; good medium carbonation O - Sacrilegious to say this, perhaps, but this is very similar to, and certainly no better than, Killiians Red. (from 2011 notes)

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin ring pretty quickly. The nose is sweet vienna malt with a bit of light fruitiness and minimal to no hops. The flavor is fairly sweet with that little bit of fruitiness emerging on the back end that’s a bit of a problem in a Vienna Lager. Minimal to no hops to balance out the sweetness from the malt. Not quite as clean as I’d like. Light to medium bodied with a bit of cling to the finish and minimal soft carbonation. Meh, this is one I could pass on were I faced with the choice of having it again.
