I think my opinion can be summed up when I say that we drunk a homebrew that night that tasted better than this, which was very similar in style and more drikable. Not so nutty, and quite bland. Thin body and light on the palate.

22 oz bottle. Dark brown pour that showed a bit of red in the light. Aroma is light bread with some nuttiness and a bit of fresh cream. Flavor is creamy and nutty with a slight off note that I couldn’t place. Creamy mouthfeel. Nearly a really good beer, but there’s just something off-putting in there.

[1952-20090116] 22floz bottle. Nail polish, mashed old bananas and yeasty bread aroma. Clear, very dark brown mahogany body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Roasted yeasty mild banana flavour. Medium body. Good.

22oz bomber courtesy of mhewes poured into a pint glass. Pours a dark, dark chestnut brown that shows deep clear mahogany when held up to the light. The head is off-white and remains a small cap throughout, leaving small bits of lacing. The aroma is really nice with a dark roasted malt backbone that has lots of sweeter chocolate hints. The taste is dominated by a bit more of the bready malts with less sweetness and chocolate than the aroma. The finish is dry and there are plenty of nuts in there as well. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and a tad thin for the style. A very good brown ale from Full Sail that had a great nose and a good taste. A little more body and this one would have been great.

I will start this off by saying I should have purchased more of this beer. It was dark brown with a good white head. Very nice nutty chocolate flavor that almost made me think of their top sail porter. Full Sail reserves consistently deliver especially for such a good price ($3.49). Poured into a pint glass. Deep brown with copper-red highlights. Modest but creamy and lacy light-tan head. Bready malt aroma with sweet cream, peanuts, and toasted grain. Flavor is bready with some caramel, then roasty with peanut skins on the finish. Dry and lightly bitter. Body is just under medium. Good carbonation and a solid flavor profile make this a pretty drinkable brown ale.

Shared by Jerc and Mabel with Blankboy, GregClow and I. Appearance: Dark brown/orange body with a pancake mix colour head. Aroma: Sharp malt, hazelnut, shoe polish, kind of ’dusty’. Flavour: Dusty, malty, somewhat cardboardesque. Not my cup of tea I’m afraid.
