Tawny body. Slightly tobaccoey, nutty aroma. Full-bodied, nutty, with some chocolate character. Full, sweet finish. Superbly balanced, lots of flavour.

Bottle... Clear, dark brown ale with a large, frothy, khaki head. Small, creamy, everlasting retention. When held up to light, copper/ruby hues are revealed. Rich, hearty aroma provides chocolate, tropical nuts and a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. Nutty, malty, chocolaty flavor with a whisper of coffee. Medium sweetness, modest bitterness and light acidity. Finishes well-roasted, balanced and lightly tangy.

22oz bottle. Typical brown body, clear, filtered, all that, with a toast colored tan head on top. Very fresh, very full, well attenuated, rich and delicious almonds, vanilla and bread crust, with some chocolate malt and cocoa notes. Some dusty mineral notes in the finish, a bit of mold perhaps, but overall very few complaints. Good brown ales are difficult to find... but I always have been a sucker for the Full Sail house character.

Bottle: Mahogany, ruby color, light sticky head. Nose of yeast slurry, light vacuum cleaner hose, subtle almond and bitter bland hops. The flavor is acidic, plenty of bitter earthy hops. Light and vague, salty? Not good.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, roasted nuts/grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (resin). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not that enticing in the aroma department for me, but that’s partly because it relies a bit too much on green/American hops. The flavor balance is ok for quaffing if you can handle the acidity level, which I’m not fond of. Overall not bad, but definitely west coast style and thus not my cup of tea.

Bomber. Dark chocolate aroma. Dark brown color with a three finger beige head. Medium body with fine carbonation; almost chewy. Flavor is lots of chocolate, dark roasted malt, and bitter (probably burnt malt and hop). Finish is dry, and the bitter is persisting. Seems to be really good for a brown ale. Damn near crisp.
