Nice and rich, nutty for sure, sweet, and thick. Not the best Nut Brown ever (look towards the UK for that), but good nonetheless for an Oregon beer.

Aroma of roasted malt and booze. He palate reviews the lowest rating as it is very watery and the nut/malt taste fades too quickly into bitterness. Short finish. Decent aftertaste. Too much bitterness clashes with sweet flavor of the malt. Overall decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Aroma is very light. I cant really smell anything but a slight nutty chocolate and that may be my imagination. Pours beautiful dark brown with ruby highlights. Flavor is wonderful and consists of nuts, dark malt, chocolate, espresso. Light body. oily mouthfeel. quick, harsh finish. Very tasty but forgettable.

Bottle at home. Wow, one of the better brown ales I’ve had. Nice rich chocolatey brown pour with a sticky head. Nut and mild chocolate in this - not too sweet, not too dry, nice body. Well done.

From 12oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a deep copper, nice and thick tan head. Nose is malt, slight hop, nutty, faint chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, bitter with light sweet touches as well. Finishes very flavorful and smooth. Nice Nut Brown Ale here, perfect by the fire beer.

Sweet almond and hazelnut aromas with bready character. A shallow layer of off white head tops this dark brown beer. Medium body and malt forward balanced sweetness. Finishes with a modest bitterness and astringency from the roast malt backed with a mild hop bitterness. Overall a balanced but bold.brown ale.

Very mild pecan nose. Clear brown, thin head. Tart initially, but transitions from raw cranberry to pecan. Grape seeds also present. A bit roo tart and fruity for a brown ale, but nutty character is evident.
