3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice and rich, nutty for sure, sweet, and thick. Not the best Nut Brown ever (look towards the UK for that), but good nonetheless for an Oregon beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep hazelnutty brown with a thin amber highlight around the edge of the glass, with a thin light beige head. Nutty and aromatic nose of brown malty toast and light hazelnut splendour. Crisp yet semisweet and bready flavor that’s lightly chocolaty, a touch nutty, smooth and gently brown malt earthy. Really delightful and the kind of brown I wish more brown ales were like.

Bottle. Medium brown pour, with an aroma of mostly roasted malt. There’s a hint of nuts and caramel in the nose and flavor as well, but mostly roast. A little thin on the palate, but pleasant overall.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep red hue, big rocky head, thick smell, look shows heaviness like a lopsided Z-28. Strong up front, like a heavy duty tube top sturdily holding in robust, grain fed bosoms, tanned and shakin to the sounds coming out of the open t tops and heavy vibrations from under the wood grained hood, garnished in ornamental twinges delicate gargoyle fruitiness, Full Sail for sure! Thar beer blows down Yar face like a sudden gale gust, leaving little ripples on a glass surface. Finishes wet as a lake under a morning fog. A wooden ship behind...

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color with a one finger head of cream colored foam. The head has a moderate level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a tiny bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is light overall, consisting mainly of some sweeter caramel and a little bit of roast. Along with these smells comes a little bit of nut and a hint of coffee.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter roasted malt flavor mixed with a little bit of a nutty taste. As the taste advances the roastiness decreases to some extent, all the while being replaced by more caramel sweetness and taking on a more rich nutty taste. With a little bit of a brown bread taste and a hint of grain that come at the end, one is left with a rather sweet and smooth nut brown flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is average and has a carbonation level that is actually a little high for a nut brown ale. I would have liked a bit less carbonation and a bit more body for the style, but even with that said the feel was not bad, and the thinner and more carbonated style did do a decent job for the sweeter caramel tastes of the beer overall.
Overall – An easy drinking and fairly sweeter nut brown. Not a bad brew overall.
