3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Jet black with a thin tan head. The roasted malts are cocoa, burnt coffee, ashy. This is a good stout that leans more toward the dry roasty side then I would like. There is also a slight acidity that is distracting.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good, average Sweet Stout/Oatmeal Stout, so that means it is of the best quality.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. A black beer with a red shine under a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and oatmeal. The flavor is sweet malty with distinct notes of oatmeal.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasting Room - This is extremely well done. Not terribly sweet, but extremely rich, with a creamy mouthfeel, that just oozes caramel and chocolate, with an ample amount of honey roasted peanuts, and some darker fruit flavors as well. The essence of an Oat Stout.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the brewery in Hood River. The tap handle simply read "Stout" so I got clarification that it is a new oatmeal stout.
Almost black colour. Rich milk chocolate aroma is complex with oats, nuts, figs, and Cuban cafe leche. Lightish body is silky, quaffable, yet still has enough sugar to round everything out...chocolate, more nuts, but less coffee than in the nose. The oats are subtle and surely pleasurable. Soft, sweet...this has great balance.
