Jun 15, 2008 Draft. A black beer with a red shine under a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and oatmeal. The flavor is sweet malty with distinct notes of oatmeal.

May 22, 2008 Tasting Room - This is extremely well done. Not terribly sweet, but extremely rich, with a creamy mouthfeel, that just oozes caramel and chocolate, with an ample amount of honey roasted peanuts, and some darker fruit flavors as well. The essence of an Oat Stout.

Jul 21, 2007 On tap at the brewery in Hood River. The tap handle simply read "Stout" so I got clarification that it is a new oatmeal stout.
Almost black colour. Rich milk chocolate aroma is complex with oats, nuts, figs, and Cuban cafe leche. Lightish body is silky, quaffable, yet still has enough sugar to round everything out...chocolate, more nuts, but less coffee than in the nose. The oats are subtle and surely pleasurable. Soft, sweet...this has great balance.
