This delightful brew is a medium-bodied pale ale that is balanced to perfection. It has a fresh hop aroma and a mild sweetness that finishes crisp and clean. This pale ale is brewed in the American style using two Northwest hop varieties, Centennial and Columbus. The fresh hop flavor is balanced with 2-row Pale and Crystal malts

355ml bottle pours a light amber color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus and floral with some mild grains. Taste is light citrus hop with some malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with some adequate carbonation. An easy drinking pale ale that is perfect around a roaring campfire.

Light orange-amber with with a thin white head. Faint floral hop aroma. Crisp and lightly bitter. Pretty average American pale ale.

Draught at the Pilsner Room in Portland. Shiny copper, clear. Fine lacy head. Faint nose of caramel, earth, cherry. Clean and light flavor, English hops, metal, cherry, a bit of caramel. Clean and plain.

Poured light copper with an average head. Floral aroma with a nice bitter taste up front. Not complex, but a refreshing APA.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice copper color. Some pearly white head. Aroma is very malty for a pale ale. Flavor has a nice grassy note to it, with a backbone of caramel hops. There is a significant alcohol flavor as well, not unpleasant. The hops kind of play second fiddle, but thatís fine, because itís a very drinkable beer.

Pours a clear medium tan with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit of apple, actually. Flavor is a bit sour, but not apple. Hard to say on this one. I donít know that I particularly like it, but itís not bad.

Pours a light amber color and is crystal clear.Pours with a small head that is off white and dense. It seems to linger a while but has no lacing. The aroma is pretty bland with malts and grain hulls. Hops are very light. Taste is like the nose, some malts, grain hulls maybe a little toasted too in there. Hops have some flavor but I canít quite put my finger on the taste. A medium weight on the palette and not all that smooth. Finishes clean. Although there is nothing really bad with this beer, there really isnít anything good with it either.

Originally reviewed: 2/12/09. Pours a darker gold with a good 2-finger white head resting on top. Decent amount of bubbles rising up. Retention is ok; great lacing. Smells of sweet malt and honey-kissed breads. Some light floral tones present as well. Decent enough flavoring, but I had to mark this point as the lower one due to the slight beef-stew like quality to it. Tastes meaty to me. I love meat, but itís kind of weird in my beer. Otherwise itís wonderfully balanced. Slight hop bite at the finish. Pair that with a nice crisp mouthfeel, and you got yourself a good drinker. Recommend.
