Schroppfy (1728), Ohio, USA Mar 26, 2008 Good way to separate malt and hops - the crystal malt adds a buttery, bready backdrop to the beer that melds pretty seamlessly into the classic C hops grapefruit and pine. Beautiful dark color and nice conditioning. A bit of plasticy acridness and sharpness is there, but otherwise a solid beer. I love Full Sail.
djd07 (339), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy copper color with a small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is caramel, floral hops, and sweet fruit. The taste is a smooth sweet hop with a malt finish. A good session beer easy to drink a great pale ale from full sail. SSSteve (1487), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 16, 2008 clear amber under a frothy white head. nice peachy, flowery hop aroma with a lot of bready, biscuit notes. lots of sweet breads and caramel with a nice floral hop addition. standard and solid. kflorence (78), San Diego, California, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle, poured a lovely gold-amber color with a small amount of head that lasted for awhile. The prominent smell of this brew is definitely the hops, but there are also some notes of honey, grapefruit and caramel in there. The taste is also very hop oriented, slightly bitter up front with a very mild caramel and malt sweetness. Finishes crisp and slightly bitter, but the lingering flavor in the mouth is more on the grapefruit or citrus side. A pretty good brew for this style, which I am not too fond of. SuperDave70 (717), Arizona, USA Aug 10, 2008 Nice dark gold pour with a foamy white head. Sweet roasty malt and citrusy hop aroma. Similar flavor, with the hops coming through nicely. A bit bitter on the finish. Nicely carbonated and lively on the palate. A good refreshing pale ale. Beer_2000 (1164), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 10, 2008 On tap @Hood river hotel. Clear, dark golden body with a medium size, creamy off-white head. Gentle hoppy aroma with hints of caramel. Flavor is sweet malt with a gentle balanced bitterness, hints of caramel. Medium body and a fine finish. Nice and very refreshing.
