ABUSEDGOAT (1904), California, USA May 15, 2008 Amber color, moderate head, solid lacing and retention. Aroma is caramel, grapefruit, citrus. Medium light body, moderate to low bitterness, very drinkable. Somewhat bland, but a nice thirst quencher.
llbjr77 (58), Largo, Florida, USA Sep 8, 2008 For a pale ale, tasted quite nice. Definite taste of malts and hops. Pours a nice head and is golden amber in color. No aftertaste. Will drink again. Pershing (84), Garland, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2008 Clear amber with a thick frothy head. Citrisy floral hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a light bitter finish. A fine example of an American Pale Ale. mcc5468 (42), USA Aug 29, 2008 Light orange color. Medium head. Slight citrus hop scent. Taste is citrus hops but weakens quickly (i..e. sip starts with a nice hop taste but doesn’t linger). All in all it starts out well but ends up being rather light in taste. ChainGangGuy (1536), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 25, 2008 Appearance: Pours a golden-amber body with a standard, smallish, white head.
Smell: Grainy pale malt scent with citrusy, lightly herbal hop notes.
Taste: Pale maltiness with a bare grainy taste to it that, as you go along, develops into a slight husk astringency. Citric hop quality with a medium bitterness. Finishes dry and crisp.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: One of those basic, average attempts at a basic, average style that does get the job done but doesn’t really thrill you, captivate you, or even hold your attention beyond that last sip. pojo41 (300), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Copper-colored pour with a big, fluffy off-white head that laeft a nice lacing on my glass. Aroma dominated by hops with a background of malt and candy.
Slightly sweet flavor with caramel and chocolate undertones. Pretty good hop bite. A bit of citrus Smooth on the palate. An easy drinking pale ale. Pretty tasty.
