First whiff is dried dog food/bran... but the nose becomes more tangy after a while, with crusty bread malts, crusty, dried orange peel and nutty, sharp honey. Striking, abrasive, harsh body, flavors of nut-heavy, nut-centric, a lot of bread crust, stale crackers and mellowed citrus. Not really doing much for me. DYCSoccer17 (2190), Davis, California, USA

Aroma is initially sweet, but it fades a bit and becomes a little more herbal, but it still has some citrus aromas present. A little ethanol retronasally, but all in all, this is pretty aromatic stuff. Mildly have copper-orange body with a nice, strong off-yellowish head present.Well, very straight forward bitter bitter medicinal hop flavors. Becomes a bit grainy and burnt in the middle. Finishes long, dry, and just a puckering bitter. I don’t know what kinda hops they used for this, but they impart a medicinal, tylenol-ish flavoring. The dryness of this beer just magnifies that. Definitely not enjoyable. argo0 (6891), Washington DC, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Clear golden color, thin white head. Citric hop aroma is moderate in strength. The taste is much less hoppy and more grassy than I would have anticipated from the aroma. The hop finish is pretty weak. Dubbercody (214), Vancouver, Washington, USA

Orange hazy color, Dry hop flavor that strips the tongue. Leaves a clean hoppiness.
Quite dry finish. It’s not my favorite style, but for a hopheads, it’s super. kmweaver (2441), Sebastopol, California, USA

Pours a hazy, orange-amber color; thin, light-tan head with solid fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of mineral and citrus bitterness in the aroma; pretty, straightforward, bitter hop character. Medium mouthfeel: lots of chewy, bitter minerals and citrus hoppiness; solid levels of carbonation; reasonably drinkable and solid hoppiness; tasty, clean hoppiness. Medium finish: dry citrus and mineral hop bitterness throughout; reasonably dry. ryan (1775), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark amber and very cloudy. Thin head that disipates quickly, with a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is wonderfully sweet with just enough hop to balance. Very smooth taste with a great bite that finishes dry. Overall I enjoyed the beer and will buy it again.
