Bottle, was pleased to see a new IPA on the shelf and am looking forward to this one after a long day of working outside. A nice clear copper color with a modest sized creamy off-white head. Hoppy but soft and subdued. I shouldn’t have read raphaels notes first...crap. Yes, carmel and metallic flavors. fairly high bitterness, but not much fresh west coast hoppiness. A bit grassy and almost a touch of smoke or rotten log.
A bit off. carbonation is a little soft as well. The lingering bitterness is putting me off even more.
Dissapointing..
I think I have a few more SNPAs in the back of the fridge...oh please....oh please...

Oct 7, 2008 Shared bottle with Timfoolery. Smelled of hoppy goodness and even tasted pretty good at first, but the palate just fell apart. Left an odd bitter taste in my mouth. Decent brew for the genre, but not a standout.

Oct 5, 2008 On tap at the San Diego Brewing Company. Rich orange in color with a milky, off white head. Aroma of fruit, orange/citrus, caramel and earth. Flavor of toffee and caramel up front, with some grassy/earthy/citrus hopping in the finish. Decently bitter for the style. Lingering flavor. A solid, but probably average, version of the style.

Oct 1, 2008 (22oz. bottle) Pours a lightly hazy orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, biscuit, and peach. Flavor of caramel malt and hops (pine, floral, grassy) with a bitter finish.

Sep 26, 2008 22oz bottle shared courtesy of Josh. Poured a medium and clear amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of fruitness, floral, and some caramel. Tastes of the same fruitiness, caramel, floral, and some pine.

Sep 25, 2008 Thanks to Josh for sharing this one. Pours a lightly hazy amber with golden notes and a medium creamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma was floral, pine, mixed citrus, bready, caramel and a light nuttiness. Flavor was practically a match of the same.
