Brilliant amber pour with a thick rocky head and some lacing. A hop assault! Outrageous flavors of citric lemon and pine comb the tongue. What I love about this beer is that malt base is crackery - rather dry, and the hops float above it like a cloud. Not as sweet as some of its SoCal brethren. Fairly creamy with a long lasting bitter finish. Major hooray! doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 19, 2008 22oz bottle. This beer is awesome! Pours a nice clearish orange color with a moderate, frothy, white head, lots of sticky spider web lace. Smells hoppy, earthy and citrusy, very citrusy slight malt scents in the background. Tastes very citrusy as well. Crisp and clean citrusy hops, grapefruit and orange. Malt flavors in the back. Medium body, good carbonation Reid (1089), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Dark amber, dark for the typical IPA, with a large boisterous eggshell white head.
Sharp citric hop aroma, very pungent.
Indeed as the label says..very aggresive hopping right from the get go, more piney than citric, taste explosion, there are bits were the maltiness shows but not often.
Very nice on the palate, long nice after taste.
Not a balanced beer in anyway. One of Full sails best attempts at the IPA category. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA

Full, round mouth feel, very smooth with a British balance. Malty but not sweet nose which quickly transitions to a hoppy middle and finish. Cask ale! mistersinalin (370), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

Of the specialty IPAs from Full Sail, this one lands in the middle. Not quite a full as the Wreck The Halls IPA, but better bite than the Son Of Spot. Brewsmith (136), Torrance, California, USA

Aroma is hoppy citrus and pineapple with a slight sweet aroma. Color is a honey orange with a fluffy off-white head. Brilliantly clear. Flavor is fiimly bitter up front. Toasty malt flavors balance clean with the hops. No sweetness in the finish. Smooth, easy drinking, crisp and dry. A very well done IPA. yespr (12020), Copenhagen O, Denmark
