attractive beer. shiny copper with fruity brown undertones. Treacly head the lingers for a little while. Nose is decent. Sour apples and dried apricots. Maris otter backbone. Excellent sweetness. Sticky even. However there is a strnage watery soapy background. Flavors at first are very sugary. Caro syrup and brown sugar. Carbonation floods the mouth and then an astringent bitterness. Citrusy but leaving something to be desired. Too carbonated for the style and not enough presence in the mouthfeel to make this a good pass at the style. Astringent bitterness is at first nice and then overwhelming. All in all not the worst of its kind but I wouldn’t drink this every day.

Clear bright thin pretty amber color. Mild floral hop front. Crisp tangy mild Pils Wheat caramel toast odd fruit ester butter body. Dry sweet mild malt hop citrus end. Nice strange tasty brew. Sampled 4/14/2005.

Light amber in color. Head is small and disappears fast. Taste is more hoppy and not very complex. Light pale ale that is not bad but not great.

12oz bottle. Pours a medium gold color with a good sized off white head.Malty aroma with some earthy hops. Finishes clean and dry. A little hard to pin down, fairly average for an ale. Refreshing but nothing special, kind of an old bottle so its my fault.

Not much to this one, its flavor are solid and uncomplicatedly simple, and it is quite drinkable, just not very exciting. Caramel flavors backed up by a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Very light with a fading aftertaste.

Bottle. Amber in color with thin white head. Reasonable taste with hop overtones. An attempt at more sessiony than the pale that falls flat.

12 oz. glass bottle- color of amber, with a white head - nose of sweat, some hops, and biscuit – taste is sweet, malts, red berries, and light hops- body is medium, and with medium carbonation – aftertaste is bitter , hoppy, and mild toasted malts

Pretty looking brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma has some solid caramel maltiness and medium strength fuggles and assorted English hops. Flavor is unexciting but solid - tasty malts of caramel and bread with some light hop bitterness. Very smooth with just enough tingle on the tongue. Not bad at all.

I really love this beer, it’s great from the tap and good from the bottle. Beautiful brown, smooth and very well balanced in regards to taste. Nice head from the bottle.

Had this beer on 10/8/2002. Aroma is a lightly sweet malt scent. Color is a rich brown with a hint of red to it. Carbonation is good with a nice head. Taste is malty with a mild bitterness. Starting with a light medium body with a smooth feel. Finish is a nice crisp malty taste backed by a mild bitterness. This is a very smooth and well balanced beer.
