Slightly hazy blonde body with silken cover. Belgian nose of restrained farmhouse presence and lemons. Farmhousey body, yeasty-wyeast nutrient flavor and light phenols and pepper through the finish.

Draught@McCormicks&Schmick’s, Portland as "Full Sail Saison A Pleine Voile"
Slightly hazy yellow color, good creamy white head. Aroma of leather, herbal-fruity notes, Saison yeast. Light-bodied. Light fruity flavor with light spiceyness and lemony hops. Weak palate. Refreshing but not very exiciting Saison.

Tasted on tap at Falling Rock in Denver, Colorado. Appearance is a bit hazy, but mostly looks like a Pale Lager. A bit sweet Belgian aroma that’s mostly dominated by the hops. Very hoppy for a Saison that is reminiscent of a American-style Belgian Pale Ale. Not all that yeasty. Below average or worse Saison.

Lubiere (9765) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2010
A golden saison with a thick frothy white head. A good aroma of sweet cream, epsom salts, light belgian spices. In mouth, a clean, lightly oily, malt with light spiced notes, wheat, not bad. On tap at Horse Brass, Sept. 4 2010.

Tap at Falling Rock - a surprisingly solid saison - very dry and flinty throughout, with just a hint og yeastiness on the tail end - a bit of melon and lemon rind - moderate spicy character and a lot of dry, herbal bitterness - not lacking Full Sail’s house flavor, but it works well in this style - nice.

Crushed with Honkeybra at GABF. NIce nose of funk and grass. Flavor is just as nice with some hops in there. Nice dry finish. Good example of the style.

HonkeyBra (3263) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 10, 2009
Cloudy, golden pour with creamy white head. Aroma of hay, light funk, bread. Flavor is pretty good: yeasty, a bit of funk and dust. Some citrus in there too. Nice mouthfeel, with good carbonation. Very good interpretation of the style.

(Draught) Pours a lightly cloudy golden orange body with a small white head. Aroma of orange peel, grass, florals, leather, horseblanket, and bread. Flavor of lemon, orange, yeast, earth, brett, and biscuit with a somewhat dry, bitter finish.

On tap at Falling rock listed as "Saison de Full Sail". Pours almost identical to the RR publication which I had side by side. Pours a nice hazy yellow with a monstrous white head and great lace. Aroma is highly phenolic but nicely yeasty with great saison character, a bit of dirt, brett funk, earth, light burnt wire, toasted and bready malts, and nicely hopped- earth and floral. Doughy slightly earthy flavor, with nice phenolic yeast, funk is earthy with some horse, toasted malts, great typical saison character and a nice earthy hoppy finish and very dry- smooth. Held its own next to the publication.
