From the 22oz bottle. Pours a ruby red with a thin white head. Huge nose of plum and figs with hints of citrus hops. Medium bodied, big dark fruit and earthy hops in the taste. Tasty brew with light Belgian notes.

22 oz. bottle served in a wide rim glass since my trappist glass was broken a few months back- poured a semi transparent light brown with orange shades when held to a light source, some frog eyes and a creamy white ring for a head around the glass.aroma of candi sugar, brown sugar, yeast, and some dark fruit esters. Hits the mouth with a high- medium body, malt is just delicious and has multiple levels of awesomeness, some notes of peppercorn in the middle, finish is complete with some warmth from the alcohol and a dulled bit of sweetness. The old Cult song popped into my head when I saw the name of the bottle, thanks for the flashback and the beer!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/2/12
Aroma: The nose is fairly sweet, with some fruity notes, spice, brown sugar, and a little yeast
Appearance: Pours a somewhat cloudy orange-amber color with a small head and spotty lacing
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet as well, with sugary flavors, and some fruit and malt sweetness
Palate: It is medium bodied, drinks pretty smoothly, with a soft carbonation, and just a hint of heat
I thought this was a pretty nice Doubel. It is perhaps a bit one dimensional on the sweet side, but the sweetness isnít cloying. Thereís also a slight alcoholic dryness that shows up in the finish. I liked it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rusty brown in color, thin creamy head. Malty sweet aroma almost like cinnamon raisin toast. Flavor notes of more sweet malt and dried fruits. Overall, slight watered down flavor but tasty and drinkable.

some malt and alcohol aroma the beer is sweet with some spice and dishwater. a little white pepper, coriander and clove like flavor with barely moderate cold lightly carbonated body. light toffee, vanilla like altogether a mish mash type of brew unidentifiable with a dead finish with perhaps a fleeting cherry gum. yes very soda like, dead soda.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a cloudy, orange tinted, medium amber with a thin tan head that dropped to just a film rather quickly. The aroma was mild with primarily sweet roasted malts and dark brown sugar. There was some raisin and dried dark fruits. The beer had a light creamy texture and good carbonation that lead to a light tart, crisp taste. There was good caramel malt sweetness and a hint of chocolate. The finish was mellow with a nice alcohol warmth

This beer is too much soda like, cola in particular. Full Sail is nothing special from experience.

3 feb 2012, bottle. Red/amber, clear. Great nose. Iíd almost say smells like a barley wine than a quad. Sweet, wet bread, warm cherries, alcohol and raisins. Great! Med/thin body and fizzy. Too fizzy for the beer. Sweet bready beer with not as much alcohol or taste complexity as I hoped.
