COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Session Black is short, dark and totally drinkable. The initial tastes are a subtle pairing of caramel and chocolate malt flavors with precise hopping to provide an elegant citrus background to the delicate finish of dark cocoa.

Did you know that there is a rock, paper, sissors game under each cap. Anyways I won against the cap and got the beer free at a bar. Pours a dark black/brown with medium tan head. Aroma of grain and dark malts and some chocolate. Taste reveals some super drinkable brew. Light roast, toasted, chocolate. Not bad and certainly is getting me to step in the rhelm of appreciate for the super sessionables.

11oz stubby bottle pours almost black with some red highlights when held to the light and a small white head that leaves very little lacing. Aromas of lightly roasted malts and a bit of dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malty sweetness with hints of chocolate and a light citrusy hop bitterness. Modest carbonation and body. A fine easy drinking dark beer which is great as an everyday drinker.

Bottle. Poured clear black color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate toasted bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Good brew.

Good session beer Surprising amount of flavor. Bottle from a 12 pack. Dark brown clear pour. Off white thin head. Light hints of coffee and some chocolate, cardboard. Light to medium on the palate. Taste is a little creamy with some chocolate and finishes pretty sweet with some wateriness. I wish I would have tried this sooner because it truly is a very solid sessionable beer with actual taste. Easy on the wallet as well

Bottle to tulip. About the darkest I’ve seen a beer that you can see through. Malty toasty aroma. Like a brown ale, but subtler. Some creaminess. Very good for a lager. Does have that session ale feel.

Poured from the stubby bottle into a mug. Aroma is of lager, didn’t like that. appearance is of stout. Flavor has chocolate flavors, not as roasty as some. Overall a OK black lager.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown red tint. Not much of a head. caramel, roasty, resin, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, soft carbonation. After all the wild beers out there and extreme tastes its like mellow. Not bad it brings you back to the basics of a good beer that you could drink a few of and not be ripped or overloaded in flavor.

Pours thin black brown, little off white head, little roasted grain smell. Good beer overall, very drinkable with a slightly bitter roasted grain profile. Light hops add just nice touch, and the bottle is cool.

They ain’t lying - this is seriously sessionable. Pours a clear, deep, dark red, almost black with a nice light tan head. Roast and some light hops in the nose. I’m getting the taste of light coffee, some caramel, an perhaps a bit of chocolate along with light hop levels. A little thin on the mouthfeel, but otherwise a nicely done schwarzbier.

Bottle-pours deep crimson red almost black with a fizzy tan head-very lite tan. nose is grainy, chocolate, lite roast, dusty esters,. and lightly lactic. flavors are mostly dusty esters with lite backing chocolate and metalic notes , very on par for this style. not really a style im into but this is definately a very solid example of it. This is as good as Calumet Dark if not better. Definately a great sesssion beer with lots of flavors. Body is a bit lite, but that aids to the drink ability of this in large quanitites. there is no way you cant slam a 12pk of this on a fall day.
