COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Session Black is short, dark and totally drinkable. The initial tastes are a subtle pairing of caramel and chocolate malt flavors with precise hopping to provide an elegant citrus background to the delicate finish of dark cocoa.

Bottle - Dark Brown in colour; with Reddish tinge. Malty; roasty malts, caramel, chocolate, hint of liquorice. Fruity; citrus. Hoppy; slight earthy hops. Sweetish roast malty throughout, leading to some bitterness in the finish. OK. Easy drinking.

Bottle. Dark ruby/cola colored with a thin ring of off white head. Aroma is roasty with some cocoa notes. Taste follows suit and adds some citrus and bready malt. Mouthfeel is a little too syrupy and under carbonated. Ok.

Decent taste, nice chocolate flavor. The problem was it had no depth and the body was too light.

Dark clear pour with little head. Sweet malt aroma. Very sweet milk chocolate flavor with a touch of spiciness. Too sweet though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear copper amber color with no head. Sweet roasted malt nose. Full bodied lager with a wet turning seamlessly mildly scrubby mouthfeel. Mild flavors of caramel Christmas pull candy, fruit and cream.

Surprise AZ TJ’s bottle. Fairly typical aroma of darker, sweet malt with a little bitter chocolate. Pleasant flavor, a little milk chocolate with a hint of sugar. Nice dark lager for a session beer.

Bottle: clear, dark brown with a hint of copper. Poor head. Dominated by grain. Chocolate. Hint of malt or molasses and syrup. Very simple and clean. Off dry. Not sour or bitter. Medium weight and medium to long. Chocolate and malty flavors. Very simple and defined profile. Lacks complexity and layers. Just full of primary grain flavors.

The first time I saw this I was stoked because I like the lager. This beer does not disappoint. Darker than its twin and totally good for the price.

4/23/2010. From bottle. Nice dark brown color with a tan head. Roasted malt aromas with caramel. Somewhat thin mouthfeel, but with good malty flavors.

Well, it is sessionable, has interesting flavors for a lager, and well, it has drinkability. A bit of nice malt comes through. Other than that, this isn’t something to savor. Best had at the end of the evening when you won’t remember anyway.
