3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz stout bottle from Chip’s. Dark brown in color with a small khaki head. Chocolate and molasses on the aroma. The flavor is smooth and balanced, tasty with caramel and chocolate, not too hoppy. Medium-bodied and smooth with medium-low carbonation. Nice solid beer overall.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas of a traditional lager but pours a nice shade of dark. The taste is great. Sparkly but subdued hops hit up front and then a wash of cocoa, with a delicate coffee taste. The flavor is immense and the body is nice and light. Very awesome and easy drinking.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The appearance had a dark brown color, super nice looking one fingered off-white to white foamy head that lasts for a good minute before dieing at a moderate pace, good amount of lacing sticking to the sides.
The smell had a nice inviting fruity/sweet malty aroma invading my nose smooth and delicately inviting.
The taste had sweet chocolate covered fruit (but mainly banana), its almost as if it tastes like someone took a banana and stuck it in chocolate and then pulled those flavors and added it in this beer - I like it. The same chocolate banana aftertaste leading to the slightly same flavoring and shows a decent dryness in the finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body, well, it says its "session" on the bottle, but I’m not so sure about that, hmmm....carbonation is pretty smooth and good for the Schwarzbier style.
Overall, honestly, I like this one probably more for me, but its one of the heavier Schwarzbiers made by an American brewer, still worthy of having again, but I don’t consider this too much of a "sessionable" brew
