Session Fest is a Czech-style strong lager (gotta love the Czechs!) called polotmavé or literally "light dark or semi-dark." Brewed with 2 Row Pale malt, Munich malt, Caramel malt and Wheat malt, and hopped with a blend of Glaciers and Cascades, Session Fest has a medium-to-full body balancing candy caramel and full malt flavors that are underscored by a spicy hoppiness that provides a nice perfume with citrus and pine overtones and a long clean finish.

Light clear amber color. Sweet caramel malt up front. Christmas like spices..nutmeg, coriander, allspice, etc. Very smooth and drinkable..hence the name I guess. Offputting aftertaste of molasses and syrup. I wouldn’t reach for it again.

Pour out of hand grenade bottle, finally the last of the types rated, at least until its changed again. Clear orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, slight earth, grass, hints of slight yeast in there as well, touch of grain. Taste is a mix of lots of caramel, hints of grass, bready, and doughy notes, slight yeast in there, finishing sweet. Eh.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber-copper color with a thin white top. Tasted caramel malts, dough, and roasted malts. Medium body, low-medium carb. Cheers!

Stubby bottle. Clear amber with a tiny head. Aroma is mostly caramel malt with some light fruitiness and bread dough. Flavor is doughy/grainy malt with a very faint hop bitterness. Medium body with weak carbonation. Ok beer but not too drinkable for me.

Pours a clear light amber with almost no head. Aromas of toffee, watery Czech hops. Taste is similarily watery and weak. Not expressive at all like the real Polotmavy I had from the Czech Republic. This is a fake attempt at a knock off Polotmavy. No.

12 oz. bottle at Taco Mac, Perimeter. THWG! Pours dark brown, with ruby hues, and a medium beige head. The aroma is caramel malts, cardamom, and some spicy and resinous hops. Sweet and malty flavor, with some nicely balanced pilsener-esque hoppy bitterness. Medium body, lively, and a little chalky. Overall, this is a nice, warming, spicy, and surprisingly complex beer. Very nice.

Pours a clear gold with a small off white head. The aroma is bready malt and spice. Thin mouth feel with a sweet caramel and spicy finish. Decent.

Clear & light amber, frothy but quick head. Carmel and chocolate roast malt in the nose. Bittersweet. Middle is continues the roasted malt ride, not too dark. Finish starts sweet, but dries out the back. Balanced for the alcohol level.
