3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3989) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was yeasty, citric acid and a touch of perfume, The flavor was very yeasty and bready with notes of citrus and perfume. Long yeasty, bready and perfumey finish. Medium body. Pretty good for what it is.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 beerscout (274) - New Windsor, New York, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Bottle. Clear pale golden color with thin, but long lasting white foamy head. Pilsner glass had something to do with that maybe. Nose was grass and wheat, sweet and crisp. Flavor was basic, sweet wheat, and malty corn and vanilla wafer. Slight bitterness up front and some hops as well which surprised me, but dropped out quickly to malts. Light, crisp, and bubbly, but not too bitter. Its an extra pale ale/lager, not a premium. Its not as good as Steel Rail, but its the closest I’ve found yet.
1.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 matthewjk (737) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Damn I feel like an idiot picking up a sixer of this thing at premium craft prices! I thought this was going to contain--you know--flavor. I was wrong. What a damn rip. Should have picked up a few Fosters’ oil can instead and saved mass money.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hockey9930 (33) - - MAY 2, 2013
Pours a light yellow, like apple juice, and very bubbly, but you have to pour fairly aggressively to get a decent sized head. Weak aroma of hay and some citrus, lemony. Taste is also a little lemony with some wheat and cloves. The flavor is light but doesn’t taste too watery like some lagers. Palate is thin and bubbly. I’m usually not a fan of light lagers but this beer scores big points on value. I managed to pick it up for $4 a six pack and if I can continue to get it at that price it might be my new go-to cheap beer in place of pbr.

Pours a light amber. Its has earthy grass taste. Not much going on overall . It is very bland. Not worth the money.

This beer, and its black label cousin, are my quintessential refrigerator bottles. I try to always have a twelve pack of one of them on hand. They are great summer brews, and high quality for the price. Perfect for backyard barbecues. I prefer the black lager slightly more, but both the red and the
black label Session lagers are must haves.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 Malty_MacHops (562) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - APR 20, 2013
Grassy hay notes with a touch of grain. Golden with a fizzy white cap. Bland and uninviting lager taste, no better or worse than other available lagers. Light bodied with a clean finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 altonbrownd (4210) - Brussels, BELGIUM - APR 19, 2013
In Portland at food pod. Nice gold body with large head. Nose is hoppy, caramel, grassy. Taste is corn, malts, and sweet. Pretty good I say. Not too strong nor too boring.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sherm1016 (888) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 13, 2013
12oz stubby bottle. Pours a clear, light amber color with a thin white head that quickly fades. Aroma is malty, bready, cereal, corn. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, cereal, just a touch of grassy hops, with a light bready finish. A decent lager.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Braudog (5035) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - APR 12, 2013
Bottle. Pours light, golden and clear, quite active, with a thin white head. There ain’t much aroma to this, and it drinks with barely much to it, not all that distinct from a macro. (#4981, 4/12/2013)
