2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
in bottle. golden color. surprising amount of flavor, interesting hop balance. Aroma is a bit on the sharp side, but flavor ends up on the positive side of the light lager equation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Crystal light amber. Spicy hop and mild malt aromas. Medium body, weak but clean and smooth flavors. Didn’t like it at all the first time I tried it but it’s sort of grown on me, still not a great beer but good and drinkable, but there is a whole beer missing from the half case with it being 11 oz stubs.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2006 This is Full Sail Brewing’s answer to the Premium Light Lager. The 11 ounce Red Stripe bottle knock-off but with a screw-off cap should give you a good idea where Full Sail is heading with this beer. A nice clean filtered beer around SRM 2. Aroma has a moderate corn smell (not sure if it is from DMS or corn adjuncts) with a fairly subdued sipcy hop aroma. Lacing is a bit weak. A good overall example of the style. With a 5.1% ABV, not sure if I would consider it a “session” beer, but after 4 or so I’m sure I’ll consider it a session beer. ;)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Honey-gold with a small head and aromas of sweet malts and some grassiness. Rich, balanced flavors of malts, grains and spicy hops. No off flavors of cereals or corn. Good representation of this style. Slight bitter ending, but overall pretty impressive.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, grass and malts. Flavour is grassy, papery, hoppy and very watery. Strong hayish hoppy aftertaste. But I still like the American hops in lagerbeer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear golden, small head. Grassy and grainy. Softly malty. Well structured and very drinkable. I really like this simple little beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy and light golden. Lively carbonation. Light yet chewy-smooth mouthfeel. Very doughy malts, with a honey-like sweetness. Hop aromas were nice (flowers, honey, faint spices, orange zest). Bitterness was mild; possibly adequate. Citrusy zing in the finish. Overall, pretty clean and easy to drink, without any crazy off flavors.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tasted 22/09/2006. 11oz bottle, with "scissors" cap, from BrewNZ.
Pale gold with no head. Funny aroma - biscuit dough, beans, spice and vinyl. Off-dry in the mouth with vinous and red apple notes in amongst it. Quite a pleasant flavour but it’s definitely no right. Very short, sans hops. Low caronation and light-medium weight. As bad as this beer smells, and as far off the mark it is, for a premium lager, I found it more drinkable than it reads.
