Pours pale yellow with fine beaded head. Has the nose of a good german lager, skunky and grassy with a small floral touch. Starts a bit sweet and becomes grassy, finishing very light with almost no aftertaste. A good outdoors beer. Nice bottle.

Courtesy of Mjames. <P> Sweaty shoe leather, grains, grass, BO. Not pleasant smelling. Yellow gold in color with a lazy white head. Fore is grainy and fairly thick with malt. Very nice mouthfeel for a lager. Has the obligatory lager crispness and is satisfying as a thirs quencher.

Bright golden with medium head. Lemony aroma with a touch of buttery malts. Lemony and underhopped, borderline bland.

Thanks to Degarth. Golden pour nice white head. Kinda stinky B.O. aroma. Great taste, all slight flavors but orange, lemon, very slight banana, nice citrusy hop flavor, good beer for a lager you canít deny it.

I thought this was quite respectable. Beyond the typical yellow of the body, I found a really attractive fruitiness without any artificial sweetness creating it. Well-supported body both by carbonation and malts, a hint of grassiness, with a nice finish of citrus and apples. Definitely something I would consider if I had to session with a lager.

Bottle, from trade with juzy & timmcd64. Shared with ClarkVV. Good nose, classic lager scent. Grassy, fruity. Apple, lemon. A little honey/vanilla thing going on. Clean yellowy gold colorNice head that faded to a ring. Bitter flavor, like aroma, but little more of the lemon comes through. Lite body, watery mouthfeel, crisp bitter finish. Hits all the marks for a classic american lager, I just donít like the style I guess.

This is quite good beer for lager. Aroma is grainy and slightly hoppy. Beer pours golden in color with a retained egg white head. Flavor is indeed quite clean, with some good malty breadness and nice hoppy bitterness for balance. Definetely a beer that you could drink all night. Session accomplished!!

Another beer that is disheartening to see the reviews for. Especially given that most people provide positive comments and then give it about a 2.5.
2005 bottle shared by OldGrowth on 2/25/06. Valiant appearance, large amount of well-retained, very aerated white head clings to the sides, even creating minor lacing, while a brilliantly clear golden-to-light-amber body is full of carbonation. The nose rises up with a challenging amount of hoppiness, grassy and even lightly spicy notes combine with soft honey, perhaps just a touch of appleskins and plenty of lemony notes. The hops are not complex in the nose, but nor does the style dictate that. This is about as hoppy as it gets, though it still remains dry and under control.
Flavor is surprisingly clean, very crisp throughout, with plenty of honey notes from a wonderfully extracted and appropriated pils malt. Dry and bitter hop notes, light grass clippings, hay and even a hint of dry tangerines and light grapefruit. Moderate carbonation, well-to-style, with an actual palate that is ever so faintly doughy. No wateriness whatsoever, and challenging and interesting to the last drop. Very clean flavor, with all malt and hops notes. No alcohol, of course, and a crisp yeast bite on end. Perfect balance. Only thing keeping it in check somewhat, is the mild appleskin note in the aroma. Thanks Tom, I think I found my new session beer, too bad I live in Boston.

So why did Full Sail create this? Iíd compare this to Blue Paddle, but Session has a nicer after taste. More sweet than bitter, and light on the hops. Again, put me on the river and Iíll drink this!

Bottle. Sweet and malty with a tiny bit of lemon and hops. Light, slightly bitter, refreshing. By far the best lager Iíve had.
