Bottle from Dan McGuinness Irish Pub in Moore, Oklahoma: poured light golden yellow with a small, thin white head which dissipated quickly. Mostly grain aroma with a bit of hops. Flavor is grain, light corn, light hops. Decent beer and a cool bottle but for some reason I felt cheated only getting 11 ounces.

Pours a clear golden with a very minimal head. Very strong grainy nose with hints of corn, bread, and some other grainy sweetness. Medium carbonation with a slight citrus flavor to accent the cereal grain sweetness. Actually not that bad for a premium lager, but Grain Belt Premium it is not.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2007 The aroma has both barley and corn malt with weak grassy hops. The appearance is pale gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma but also a little bit fruity. The palate is thin with an astringent aftertaste. This is an interesting take on a lager but I am not all together sure it’s one I would want in a drinking session. As a side note, The bottle is an 11oz slick looking bullet shape. Cool

11 oz grenade. Pours light gold. Almost no nose. I get a little bit of malt and thats about it. Light and mellow on the palate. Slight notes of sweet hops and malt. Finishes short and cereal-grainy. Inoffensive but altogether forgettable. Truly lives up to its name.

Grenade bottle purchased at Nugget in Davis, CA. Sweet, grainy, corny, malty nose present with some slight floral hops detected retronasally. Transparent yellow body with a frothy white head and nice lacing. Crisp, grainy, malty, cereal-like flavors to start. A bit overly carbonated in the middle. Finishes with a light herbal, floral, earthy hoppiness. Pretty fair to its name. A nice, flavorful session lager without a ton of adjuncts and off-flavors. A little overcarbonated, but all in all, a nice effort.

Pours golden with a medium crisp white head. Very mellow in the smell like most lagers. Light citrus hops and grain. Taste is mellow as well. More grain than anything. It does get somehwat skunked out in the aftertaste. Decent beer to drink with a meal, nothing more.

Clear gold/yellow. 1cm dense, white cap. Grainy cereal malt flavor and aroma. Light crisp hops. A bit skunky in the finish. Light/medium body, Good when you’re eating food too spicy to really enjoy your beer.

Faint malty aroma. Light body, light flavour, light finish with a touch of sweetness and no bite. This is a good workaday hot weather, hot labour beer, something to drink after working on the roof or in the garden.

11 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a clear gold with a small head. Subtle nose with some subdued malts and hops. Taste is very nice. Starts with some sweet malts, honey, some orange, then some nice toasted grains come through, then some mellow floral malts, and finishes crisp and clean. The toasted grain aftertaste lingers quite nicely and makes me want another drink right away. No adjuncts detected. Light body. Moderate carbonation. One of the best lagers i have had. This will be a new staple in my home.
