11 oz squat bottle. pours a brilliantly clear yellow, light sad watery head. nose is light sweet and light malt. tastes a clean light watered down malt, not any off flavors like some. not much on taste, average and forgettable.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma is a little on the skunky side maybe I got a bad bottle or something. Taste of sweet malt but cloying on the palate as well as some astringent hop bitterness. Overall disappointed but maybe just got a bad bottle I hope as it was part of a basket.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Clear light gold with a big white head. Typical pale lager aroma with a hint of fruitiness. Taste follows suit and adds some grassiness and bready malt. Crisp palate. Excellent representation of the style.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2014 This is a fuller bodied session able lager with a hint of sweetness. All of the flavors mingle together well to create a coherent and very drinkable beer. It has an enjoyable lightly sweet finish that really works as a simple table beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear classic golden color with a very short, white head. Full bodied and seamless textures. Rather clever. Faint lagerish aromas. Some lagerish corn flavor. Average lager.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle shared by Moose. This was after the new Bourbon County Barley Wine so it was a refreshing break. Nothing special, nothing terrible. Pleasant lager.

Well, its a lager. In a stubby bottle, that doesn’t have anything terribly wrong with it. Not overly corny sweet or over hopped. Basic and easy drinking.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This isn’t bad for what it is. Let’s face it, the whole point of this style is for as little flavor as possible, and it’s possible that this beer actually fails on that category because there’s a distinct maltiness to this beer, although it is light, clean, and slightly citrusy in the finish. Pretty refreshing, actually. There could be a slight corniness to it, but nothing unpleasant. I’d take this over the typical BMC lager anyday.

This is a good quality, affordable drinking beer. I’ve partied and camped with it many times as back up beer between the expensive stuff and PBR. Its also easy to smuggle because of the awesome stubby bottle.
