Ungstrup (29850) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2008
Draft. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, leading to a dry bitter finish. Somewhat like a Helles.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a neat, clear fully golden with a handsome, frothy, off-white head. Very fresh nose with some citrusy acidity. Light-bodied, dry and tart but also quite refreshing. No bitterness. Tasted at the Oklahoma Beer tasting March 06 hosted by mjames and lilannie. 250306

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, grass and malts. Flavour is grassy, papery, hoppy and very watery. Strong hayish hoppy aftertaste. But I still like the American hops in lagerbeer.

[Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival] Clear golden, small head. Grassy and grainy. Softly malty. Well structured and very drinkable. I really like this simple little beer.

Bottled. Golden color, small white head. Fruity, malty aroma. Malty, sourish, cardboard and grain flavors. Some sweet corn in the aftertaste.

Golden color. Nice thin head. Bready, malt-accented aroma with subtle grassy hops. Smells like a nice "session lager". Slightly thin on the palate, with a light bread accent. Finishes kind of watery...it’s ok but more macroish than I expected.

argo0 (11645) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 9, 2010
12oz bottle. Small white head that mostly dissipates, atop crystal clear apple juice boy. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, some honey, spicy, light grass. Taste is moderately sweet, bread, some honey, light spicy/grass. Soft light-medium body, very drinkable. Definitely see why they call this Session.

A: The pour is a wonderfully clear golden straw color with a small and poorly retained white head. S: Sweet grain and malt on the nose with some definite corn notes to the beer. A bit of a cooked and toasted grain aroma to it. Not much in the way of hop aroma, perhaps lightly floral. T: The flavor is much better than I was expecting from the aroma. Certainly sweet and grainy, but that adjunct/corn flavor is mild. Floral hops provide a nice balance and there’s a touch of earthiness in there as well. M: Light to medium in body with moderate level of carbonation. O: I’ve heard this beer talked about for so long and finally picked up some up. It’s pretty good for what it is, and I suppose if I was in the mood to pound down some light-ish lagers, this might not be a bad choice.

So why did Full Sail create this? I’d compare this to Blue Paddle, but Session has a nicer after taste. More sweet than bitter, and light on the hops. Again, put me on the river and I’ll drink this!
