Crystal clear with an elegant white head. Lightly hopped aroma, not trying to be anything but a basic, good lager. Clean malt on the palate, subdued bitterness, really easy drinking.

Medium amber with a generous head that is gone in less than a m inute, no lace. Taste is mostly corn and/or rice, could easily be a bigger flavor tacked onto one of the national brands. So little good going on here that I’m stopping after 4 ozs. Too bad - the bottle has an appealing retro look to it.

Aroma is grains and grains. The flavor is grassy, grains, slightly sweet malts beery and a decent hoppy, bitter finish.

Appearance: bread under a fluffy white head which fades mostly clumpy, but a little bit of lace lingers. Swirls bubbly and clumpy.
Nose: crackers and bread crust. Slight yeastiness of rising dough in the back. Dry crusty hay and straw and burlap sacks corals all the other aromas. The inner skin of green banana peel. Musky.
Palate: less musk in the palate than the nose implied. Chewy doughy breads that are just a little bit undercooked. Finish of dusty straw and burlap sacks. Green banana peel and some fuzzy apricot skins for bitter-sweetness. Long straw, husk, and orange rind finish. The musk lingers and lurks along the edges without dominating the other flavors.
Final Thoughts: lagers are sessionable by nature of their style, so it was smart tongue-in-cheek inspiration that Full Sail named their sessionable lager “Session”. While it won’t win any lager awards in my book, it was a far cry better than any BMC product could ever dream to be. I’d like to get my hands on what I know is a fresh bottle to see if that edge of musk still lingers.

Bottle. Golden pour with white head. Corn, bland malt and sweet hints of aroma. Flavor follows aroma, feels like bmc, eh.

Stubby bottle. Party rate. Decently sweet taste with a much more complex malts than the standard macro lager. It is truly a great session beer.

Sweet bottle, but the cheap part of me feels cheated by only getting 11oz. Drank it straight from the bottle because that’s the way Jesus wanted me to. Light, fuller flavored lager. Not exciting, for sure, but corn and grain sure beats cardboard anyday.

Bottle. Pretty much exactly like any other macro pale lager in America. Probably good to drink after mowing the yard.

Tastes very much like the old "Black Label" beer produced by Carling Brother’s years ago out of Baltimore Maryland.

Nice cereal malt aroma with fresh hay notes. Fairly hazy orangish yellow with a thin white head. The cereal malt follows through cleanly with a slight sour tinge. Good body for a lager, not too light or to heavy. Good light grassy bitterness to balance the equally light sugary sweetness. Finishes crisp and clean with remains of the malt and hop flavors. All of these thing combine to make a very drinkable beer that is also quite delicious. My new lawnmower beer!
