COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every aspect of this IPA is amplified – from the upfront hop aroma and bitterness to the big malt body. Slipknot features a big Northwest hop aroma and robust bitterness balanced with a full malt body. Cascade, Crystal, Brewer’s Gold, and Cluster hops deliver pungent scents of citrus and pine. Extensive dry-hopping enhances this character with flavors to match. Northwest 2 Row Pale, Crystal and Rye malts add a rich spicy malt character. This full bodied IPA pours a rich golden-orange hue that glows like the late winter sun.

22oz. Pours a nice cloudy amber with an off white head that doesn’t stick around long. Some lacing, although it disappears quickly as well. Plenty of hops in the aroma...was able to discern pine and citrus. Flavor was nice with plenty of hops in the forefront. Definite grapefruit. Nice malt in their as well. Mouth feel is slightly sticky. Overall nice IPA...not as big though as I would expect from an Imperial.

smells like socks and urine. tastes okay, like a typical hoppy IPA, but then the sour bitter aftertaste hits you and leaves you wishing you had a Maharaja instead.

On tap at the Downtown "Brew Pub" poured into Pint glass. Pours a bright orange with a finger of white head that seems sticky. Aroma is faint but primarily of sweet malts, bitter hops, and maybe some orange peel? Flavor is kind of watery upfront and lingers with a citrus hoppiness that turns bitter rather quickly. Very interesting not saying that I enjoy it all that much. Its medium bodied and very sticky. Its a decent beer but there are definitely better options from Full Sail. I did enjoy the on-tap tasting better than out of the bottle.

Pours a very pale amber with thin off white head. Nose is faint and slightly of rubbing alcohol, with some hoppiness. Flavor is blunt and bitter in an aspirin kind of way. Honestly I expected much better.

22 oz bottle Aroma was mildly hoppy. Poured a clear light copper color with a robust white head. This tasted a lot like a garden variety IPA. It was drinkable and would do in an pinch.

Not thrilled with this skunky beer with zero head and sour taste. Judging by the other reviews, looks as though I got a bunk bottle, but this beer tasted like cotton candy meets baking soda on a hot day in the south. BOO!

smells fantastic and looks great, and on first taste it is also great. however, the aftertaste is a little weird and off-putting. each subsequent sip tastes great. but the funky aftertastes only amplifies and ultimately reduces my opinion of the beverage.

I had it at The Falling Rock in Denver right after Chris tapped it. Amber hazy appearance with a big white head. Aroma is malty and fruity, but not really hoppy. Same with the flavor. There are enough hops to balance but not enough for an I2PA. Apparently all English hops were used in this beer so it does not have the huge Northwest hop character we have become accustomed to in an I2PA. Good beer though.

2003 vintage. Peachy cloudy color with small off-white head, low carbonation. Very malty aroma, apricot smell. In the flavour, a definate apricot and malt taste, and quite astringent, which was surprising. It has a nice lingering bitterness. As it warms, it becomes very alcohol-tasting. Probably this is better fresher. I wasn’t overly impressed, among my least favorite Imperial IPAs I’ve tried. What this one did wrong, Rogue Imperial IPA gets right for a very similarly constructed brew.
