Bottle: Light cola, slight ruby hue, moderate to large off-white head, spotty lacing. Soft bready nose, slight dark pitted
fruit. This one seems very subdued as compared to others. Moderatley bready on the tongue, slight dark pitted fruit, minor soy.
For 8.4% it packs a punch without being hot or alcoholic. Lighter, but well balanced. You wouldn’t think this was an
American example. I wonder if this is close to the Mercator Doppelbock. Clean finish. Lingering breadiness. Simple,
but well crafted and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing dunkeylips!

Oct 12, 2008 12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours dark brown yet clear and with a small orange/amber glare and a diminished tan head. Aroma is Warming alcoholc and fruity aroma. Fruity and dense malty flavoured with a mild yeasty touch. Smooth and roasted finish.

Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, 8.4%. Good malty aroma, quite vinous. Clear dark red brown colour. Sweet flavour, caramelly and vinous with a lot of alcohol to balance. Hint of vanilla.

Aug 24, 2008 Sweet gentle wort aroma, wide scope of roast there. Very dark brown, small head. Lots of flavors here including leather, tobacco, cedar and every roasted malt character in harmony. This makes me very happy!

Aug 8, 2008 On Tap at Full Sail Brewery, Hood River. Pours out a dark amber topped with a sand head. Aroma of pit fruit and a little sweetness. Tast of malt and more of the pit fruit. A tasty Doppelbock.

Aroma – Nice Belgian yeast and malt aroma.
Appearance – Reddish Brown in Color, Thin head and hazy.
Flavor – A very nice Doppel this beer had a good malt background with the dried fruit flavors in the back.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, crisp texture with a dry Belgian finish.
Overall – This was a summer brewers special beer and this was very good. This will be there special beer next year and will be mass produced . I hope to taste then what it is like.
