Continuing our summer sun series, Spotless is named to honor our sun that has been spotless for over a year. This aggressive IPA has a rich golden color with a fruity finish. The beer is well hopped to 70 with Willamette and Zeus hops, lending the beer a bright bitterness and a rich hop flavor. Available in 22oz. bottles and draught. ABV 6.5% IBU 70

Bomber from the CBX. Pours a cloudy bright orange with a white head. The aroma is not super strong like I prefer my IPAs, but it is clean and hoppy. Notes of lemons, grass and cough drops. The flavor is bright, zesty and non-aggressive. There is juicy citrus all over. Its a refreshing IPA and a little different than what Id expect from a west coast brewer.

One of my least favorite Full Sails so far. Light in hops, some butter flavor and a bit unbalanced. Still, very drinkable. Watery.

Bottle: Pours golden with a modest beige head and bits of sticky lacing. Nose is mostly floral with some citrus and grapefruit. Wet mouthful reveals a bit more of the grapefruit and a nice floral bitterness. Lingering finish is bitter, but lightly sweet. Basic and drinkable.

22 oz bottle. Clear orange/yellow with a dense off white head. Aroma of peaches and citrus. Strong bitter flavor with a fruity finish and a moderate alcohol presence. Medium body with active carbonation and a dry bitter finish. Decent IPA.

Crisp and refreshing but a little light on the hops. Grass and herbal notes. Touch of grapefruit on the finish. Some toasty bread malts give this a little more of a unique malt body.

The Dan journal #389. Tasted 8/5/10. 22oz bomber. Filtered with a dark golden hue. Webbed off-white head. Aromas of subtle oranges and herbal grassy hops. Medium bodied and rather astringent. Good bitterness with a bright effervescence and a dry finish. Flavors of citrus fruit, especially oranges and grapefruit. Bitter finish and mildly sticky. Very well crafted and drinkable!

Bomber - clear copper pour. Aroma of grass, lemon and citrus hops. Taste of caramel roasted malts and slightly acid hop bite. Finishes up a tacky bitter sweet. Ok - not great.
