This is a really good IPA. Very biting and fresh, with lots of hops from start to finish. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Bottle. Nice and puckering wet hops are all over this. Tight head retention and a mixed bag of grains to sweeten it out. Fuck balance, this shit is good. beerguy101 (3878), Newark, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 14, 2004 Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral hops and fruity malts. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are very fruity (grapefruit and apricots) and fairly sweet. Hops are aggressive; grapefruity, floral and fairly bitter. Juicy big bold hoppiness, yet there is a nice malt backbone to it. Very smooth taste. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 25, 2004 The beer after its dispensing from the 22-ounce brown bottle sets in the glass an undarkened burnished copper color, the head piled majestically upon the body, the texture creamy and the color a beauteous light tan as it dissolves ever so slowly the lace forms a thick and glutinous sheet to obscure the glass. Nose is all about hops, sweet malt and a nice citrus like crispness polishes off this treat for the eyes and nose. Start is ambrosial, rich in malt, the top middling in its feel to the palate; finish has a distinct acidity, the hops potent in their spicy bite, the after taste sweet and dry with a continuance of the hops spicy bitterness, a delightful brew on this hot Arizona summer Sunday, Cheers Y’all! rmussman (905), California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 2, 2007 A very nice craft brew. Poured into a pint glass as my belgian glasses were dirty. Poured to frothy head. Aroma was somewhat weak with a hint of hops. Mouthfeel was smooth and pure. Flavor was sharply hoppy with a hint of fruits. Reid (1089), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 19, 2004 Ok browsing round the local grocery store and came apon the latest of the 2004 Brewmasters series..this time they seem to have "hopped" up the Sunspot Pale to an IPA..well we shall see!
Poured into my pint glass this is a rather attractive amber colour..slightly darker than a normal IPA..nice off white head that fades to leave gorgeous lace .
A very piny, citrusy hop aroma very invigorating and fresh.
This is quite a hoppy beer compared to others Full Sail have released have to say it was more hoppy than Slipknot the so-called Imperial IPA.The tastes of lemon rind and grapefruit are foremost, dry IPA finish and a long lingering yet pleasant bitterness. There is a malt background but it never really emerges above the hop-flood.
A delight on the palate.. nice and juicy with a good dry finish.
I found this very drinkable and I am not really a "hophead"I found myself taking huge gulps of this beer..but well its very hot in my non-ac house!

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 18, 2004 Bottle pours amber with an amazing red tint, large off-white dishwater like head, with intricat lacing. Citrus and fresh hops on the nose, smells delicious! Forwardly hoppy, perhaps Columbus hops? Lightly malty, with a definite hop backbone. Not overbearing, very simple, and very good. Probably one of the better IPAs I’ve had from Full Sail. Medium body and mouthfeel.   I bet this one would rock on cask. Thanks goes out to batkins for the trade!

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Aroma of light pine complemented by citrus. Hazy dark apricot color, but little head. Light lacing though. The taste starts with hops. Much more grapefruit than pine. The malt is hiding in the corners. Double IPA hops without the alcohol. The finish is hops.
