3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: slightly muddy cola brown, with a short tan head. Aroma: slightly piney, catty hops up front, over a caramel and brown sugar spine. Taste: on first taste, itís pretty bitter, with zingy, spicy hops dominating; just a few sips in and the sweet, sugary, bready malts take over with strong notes of brown sugar and molasses. Finish: sweet and slightly spicy, with a bit of a hop zing and almost candi sugar note hiding with some booze underneath . Notes: Started off like a traditional strong ale, ended up almost like a slightly hoppy dubbel. Iíve seldom had a beer that changed character so completely and so suddenly. All in all, not a bad brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep brown, almost black, from a bottle; nice aroma of malts and hops together. Nice flavor that is suitable for the season; caramel malts with a hoppy punch. Better than the other 2 Iíve had from Full Sail ,the IPA and the Pale Ale.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy brown pour, tan head. Aroma is caramel, not much else. Light bitter. Flavor is caramel and kind of a dull hops. Heavy and oily.
Considering the name, I was expecting fruit and spices. Itís not unpleasant, but not that good.

12 ounce bottle. Reddish brown color topped by a foamy beige head. Rich earthy toasted malt flavor hints at burnt caramel. Flavor is toasted malt and brown sugar. Nice spicy peppery hops and subtle dried fruit combine for a delicious balance that leaves a warming aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark mahogany with a small tan head that fades quickly. Excellent malt aroma with a nice sharp taste on the first sip. Just enough hops to balance the malt without over doing it. Long spicy finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours darkish red with little head, almost can't see through. Malty with a bit of hops at the end. Slightly sweet aroma. It sort of sticks to the top of your mouth. A decent winter beer.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark chocolate brown. Head quickly becomes a thin film though the lacing remains steadfast. Nose is spruce and biscuity chocolate. Flavor is bitter coffee and chocolate malts with a piney aftertaste. Inviting mouthfeel and a lingering cocoa aftertaste. Donít get as much from this as I would like.
