Pours dark mahogany with a small tan head that fades quickly. Excellent malt aroma with a nice sharp taste on the first sip. Just enough hops to balance the malt without over doing it. Long spicy finish.

Poured from bottle very dark with a thick lumpy head that faded with some nice lacing. Taste is a great blend of slightly sweet bready chewy malts balanced with subtle hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours darkish red with little head, almost can't see through. Malty with a bit of hops at the end. Slightly sweet aroma. It sort of sticks to the top of your mouth. A decent winter beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark chocolate brown. Head quickly becomes a thin film though the lacing remains steadfast. Nose is spruce and biscuity chocolate. Flavor is bitter coffee and chocolate malts with a piney aftertaste. Inviting mouthfeel and a lingering cocoa aftertaste. Donít get as much from this as I would like.

Bottle. Pours mahogany with a light tan head. Aroma is predominately malty with bread, caramel, Walkers shortbread, and spruce hops. Flavor is caramel, nuts, brown bread, cocoa powder, and honey. Hops come in the flavor as well to balance out, adding a spicy hop profile to the beer. On the palate the beer is medium-bodied, smoothy, and creamy.

Bottle. Pours a medium/dark brown with medium tan head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is of roasted malts. Flavor is nutty, roasty, with a bit of caramel sweetness up front, and bitterness in the finish. Pretty good for a cold winter night.

Dark amber pour with a small off-white head. Toasted malt and dark fruit aromas with a light spicy hop character. Lots of bread, a bit of floral hops, and some fruity yeast esters. The taste is a little bit more bitter than expected. Some mild roast, a lot of toast, and plenty of bread. Spicy and floral hop notes on the finish.

Have come to expect lower and lower level of beers from Full Sail, but for $1.00 I keep trying them. This is better than (their) average. As always, under-fermented and really sweat. Some interesting things happen though as the malt gets worked through. Hops are solid but nothing special. I hate bashing the "47 employee owners" of this fine establishment, but this is yet another half-ass attempt.
