Dark amber pour with a small off-white head. Toasted malt and dark fruit aromas with a light spicy hop character. Lots of bread, a bit of floral hops, and some fruity yeast esters. The taste is a little bit more bitter than expected. Some mild roast, a lot of toast, and plenty of bread. Spicy and floral hop notes on the finish.
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 DocLock (6789) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 17, 2005
Thanks to beer handy for this. Pours deep ruby with gargantuan off-white head with an insane amount of lace. Aroma of malt, big hops, spices including black pepper and nutmeg, and fruit. I could smell this all day. Tastes hoppy, with a solid malt backbone. Some fruit and spices appear at mid palate, giving way to a tart, pseudo krieky, merlotish finish. And the hops and spices hit you again on the way down...in a good way. As complex as a Steven Hawking speech, and as unique as his speech synthesizer device, this one is a standout. Full Sail kicks ass and takes names. This one reminds me a little of Alpha Klaus. Bring me another, Jeeves.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 3, 2011
2010-04-03. Dark brown body with a large foamy tan head that fades. 3+ Flavour is a bit bitter up front, with a combination of hops and a spice bitterness. Malty core is sweet with dry toasty accents. Toasty malt and spice lingers in the finish and aftertaste. Aroma of mild alcohol, melange of malt and spice is tough to separate, lightly fruity. Average palate has a certain quality and effervescence to it that seems to suit the beer very well. A very nice beer. The spices are not entirely to my tastes though so I am not sure how much of it I would drink. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo
