3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Gorgeous deep amber pour under a thick rocky tan head. I can’t quite pinpoint it, but there is a spiciness underneath the sweet malty nose. The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly thick – perfect for the style IMO. Taste is nutty and roasted malt with a mildly bitter finish, overall a great seasonal.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark ruby brown with a thin off white head. A slightly weak malty, nutty, aroma with a hint of fruit. Medium palate with little carbonation. Nice malty, cherry flavor with a bit of pine. Very drinkable, but not very memorable.

Poured a dark amber with a medium off white head. Aroma was of pine-citrus hopps with a bit of malt and spices.. Flavor was heavily hopped up front with a bit of malty sweetness and a pine hoppy finish with some spiciness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle Nose is caramel , cereal, and sllight coffee. Nice appearence, dark brownish amber with a creamy head. It has a medium sweetness along with a medium bitterness. I has meduim body, creamy texture, and a bitter finish. Nice lacing that has staying power. It’s sweet, bitter, and spicy all at the same time. A good balance.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From 12oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a deep copper, very thick tan head. Nose is a little more subtle then I would have thought. Notes of roasted malt, coffee, hops for a little balance. Taste is mostly bitter, medium body. Finishes clean, balanced out with the hops. Nice beer from Full Sail, a little plain but a nice winter beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I love all Full Sail brews, but I was a *bit* disappointed in this one. It smells wonderful, looks great in the bottle, and upon first sip tastes just as great and hoppy as I expected. However, as it sits in my mouth a second it becomes all other Full Sail products---hoppy and clean-finishing. Maybe I'm a bit rusty after being "away" for a while but this one just doesn't do anything for me that the Full Sail Pale didn't do. In other words, pretty packaging and nice dark color but it's just pretty, dark and typical Full Sail.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of cinammon, nutmeg, caramel, pine. Appears a crystal-clear deep mahogany with a small creamy tan head that dissipates. Flavor is bitter, hoppy, followed by chocolate and roast over a decent malt base; well-spiced. Palate is medium, slick and moderately effervescent. Overall, this beer is a bit greater than the sum of its parts.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a wonderful holiday ale. The aroma is fruity and spicy. The taste is just great - chewy with a hop bit that is made for cold winter nights. Glad I paid to have some shipped to Maine.
